At Covered Wagon Ranch we offer salary, tips, room and board, a spectacular area to reside for the summer, wonderful owners to work with, and riding and hiking on days off when a horse is available.

You MUST be able to stay the entire season End of May-Mid October:
Sous/Dinner Chef: Your responsibilities will include cooking dinner, baking bread, desserts and cookies daily, working with the prep staff in meal planning, placing order with food service reps, as well as creating grocery lists for town trips, working with a budget, creating menus, efficiently utilizing leftovers, and preparing food for at least one cookout per week (usually Friday nights). It will also be your responsibility to help the breakfast/lunch cook in menu planning, preparation, and organization. In other words, if it involves the food service part of our ranch, then you should assume that it is in your hands.
Breakfast/Lunch Chef will include prepping, cooking breakfast and lunch, baking pastries, desserts and cookies daily (we keep our cookie jars full for our guests at all times). It will also be your responsibility in working with the dinner chef in meal planning, placing an order with food service reps, as well as creating grocery lists for town trips, working with a budget, organizing and efficiently utilizing leftovers. In other words, if it involves the food service part of our ranch, then you and the dinner chef should assume that it is in both of your hands. Tasty, efficiently priced, and organized meals will be a good thing. You will also be responsible for covering the other chef’s days off.
Dishwasher/Server: Responsibilities include washing dishes, and working closely with other kitchen staff while Dishwashing and Serving meals, working closely with kitchen staff, preparing and cleaning up after meals when Serving.
Wrangler with Colt Experience: Responsibilities include starting and riding young horses. Being knowledgeable in horse safety and care, providing instruction to guests in horsemanship, leading guests on rides, maintaining tack, providing care and feeding stock, cleaning and maintaining barn area, comfortable driving truck and trailer, packing experience, in essence, if it is horse related it is your responsibility.
