  • Dock Representative

    Tours
    $15.00 / hour

    Dock Representatives are the guest’s first point of contact with Coastal Helicopters.  It is the Dock Rep’s responsibility to maintain a professional and friendly attitude with little supervision; at all times.  Dock Rep’s must be dependable, punctual, have strong customer service and organizational skills.  Dock Rep’s must have the ability to multitask, work/talk in front of large groups of people, pay attention to detail and spend all day outside in varied weather conditions.

    Dock Representatives will be stationed downtown for the duration of the workday.  They are responsible for greeting each guest prior to their departure, verifying the guest’s vouchers and directing them to the appropriate van.  Dock Rep’s will assist Drivers with loading and unloading of vehicles, as well as, transportation of guests to and from downtown and heliport.

    A CDL is NOT required.

    • Report directly to Tour & Marketing Manager & Tour Ramp Operations Supervisor;
    • Act as intermediary between guests and driver staff;
    • Direct guests to proper destination;
    • Answer questions from guests on all aspects of the Juneau tour industry;
    • Stay up to date with changes, add-ons and weather conditions to provide guests with the most accurate information

  • Drivers

    Tours
    $15.00 / hour + tips

    This is exactly what the title implies. You will be responsible for the basic maintenance and cleanliness of a company vehicle each day and will provide transportation guests to/from Coastal Helicopters and our main pick-up locations in 14 passenger vans. A clean driving record is required and developing a strong knowledge of local sights and facts is expected. No CDL is required.

  • Reservationist/Call Center

    Tours
    $15.00 / hour

    Help fill the seats with eager passengers! The Call Center is responsible for answering incoming calls, assists with questions and reservations; explains tour products and other information regarding the Tour Division.  Call Center agents must provide guests and wholesale agents with top-notch customer service over the phone, in person, and via email.  Must maintain accurate records of reservations, payments, and special requests.  Must have the ability to multitask, pay attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment and be dependable.

    Talk with sale reps from local vendors, communicate with booking agencies via phone, e-mail, and extranet platforms, answer questions and take reservations for direct bookings.

  • Tour Attendant

    Tour Operations Associate are responsible for checking in all guests/passengers that will be flying on our tours.  Also responsible for; collecting all pre-paid vouchers and payments for tours and gift shop sales, collecting Dog Sled waivers and ensuring on time departures of tours.  Every passenger must be weighed and entered into the system to manifest the aircraft for accurate weight and balance.  Using our company software, Takeflite, you will arrange and produce seating assignments for each group of passengers.  Tour Operations will assist in the co-ordination of all arriving and departing tourists by keeping Drivers up to date with current information and any changes throughout the day.  Tour Operations must have excellent multi-tasking skills, ability to remain calm in stressful situations, address large groups of people regarding weather cancellations, have excellent customer service skills, and keep work area clean and tidy.

    • Report directly to Tour Ramp Operations Supervisor and/or Lead Tour Attendant;
    • Safety and following procedures is your utmost concern;
    • Excellent customer service;
    • Interact with guests during their entire duration at our facility;
    • Provide assistance with the fitting of glacier boots for all guests;
    • Presenting FAA required safety briefing;
    • Loading and unloading of helicopters;
    • Attention to detail;
    • Proactive during downtime;
    • Maintain cleanliness of Tour Facility, inside and outside;
    • Assist in driving, when necessary;
    • Classroom and hands-on training provided;

    • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations;

    • Excellent customer service for face-to-face interactions with guests;
    • Address sensitive information to guests (weights, group sizing, etc) and communicate weather conditions to large groups;
    • Work efficiently to ensure manifests are ready for on-time departures; 
    • Attention to detail in all aspects of the job is required;
    • Ensure driver board is up to date with accurate pickups and numbers;
    • Keep an organized and clean workspace;
    • Classroom and hands-on training provided;
    • Previous experience in the tourism or aviation industry is preferred.
