Coachwhip Cafe is looking for cooks with restaurant and/or culinary work experience

Who:  We want employees who want to learn and develop their culinary skills. We want employees that have it dialed in and want to work in the beautiful eastern Sierra. We want employees who take pride in their work and have a great work ethic. We want hardworking people with positive attitudes and who have a culinary mind.  We want people who will genuinely care about all customers we serve and every plate we put out. We are looking to create an all-star team of Culinarians, who like to work hard and play hard!  Employees must have a clean criminal record to enter work location.

What:  You will be working alongside the owners of Coachwhip Cafe both at the restaurant and on the 20ft mobile food trailer.  During October we will be working on the local Marine Base (MWTC) feeding a training group of over 1000 marines, typically we feed 400+ marines each day.  These days can be long (and rewarding) including restaurant prep, loading/unloading of food trailers, and food service operations on base.  Employee bonuses are available!

Where:  Coleville, CA located in Mono County, and Marine Base (MWTC), depending on your term of employment we have work available in Inyo County from Nov. - April.

When:  You can start as early as Sept. 27th.  This seasonal position runs through Nov. 8th.  If you enjoy your work experience here you can have the option to remain on staff for remote weekend events during Nov.-Dec. which offers a flexible schedule with plenty of downtime, and return in January to perform the same job duties on the Marine Base for the next training session.  This position offers plenty of flexibility, and is very rewarding!

How:  You must have your own transportation and housing.  Housing is provided during the Winter for the full training period on the Marine Base, and carpooling and shuttling is possible with Winter road conditions.

We have a world class chef with over 20 years of industry experience in catering, high volume, fine dining, and culinary education.  We look forward to working with and developing a crew that likes to work hard, provide service with a smile, has a positive attitude, and enjoys mountain life.
