We are located in SW Colorado, along the Dolores River, between Cortez and Telluride in the midst of the beautiful San Juan mountains at an elevation of 8000'.
About Circle K Ranch
Our team of outstanding staff at Circle K Ranch serves guests from all walks of life including youth groups, family reunions, vacationing families, hunters and fishermen. Together, we provide our guests with western style lodging, home cooked meals, horseback riding and one on one experiences with horses that help our guests connect on a deeper level with their horses and each other! It is a highlight of each summer to serve groups of inner city youth, wounded warriors and more. Our fall season takes on a new feel and focus as we begin serving and outfitting elk and mule deer hunters, September through Mid November.
We are located along the Dolores River in the beauty of the San Juan National Forest. What an amazing playground it is, offering great opportunities for enjoying the outdoors, including hiking, fishing, rafting, 4 wheeling, horseback riding and more!
We are family owned and operated for 39 years now and strive to create a great experience for our staff and guests.... One in which you will feel like family as well. We are unique in that we offer our staff and guests fun and awesome opportunities for personal growth and development. As part of the Circle K Family our staff have the opportunity to participate in all ranch activities, a non-denominational Sunday service, staff game nights and more.

Room and Board
- Most staff housing is very basic with shared bathrooms. It is possible that some staff will have roommates. Staff members are responsible to provide their own bedding, toiletries, and bath linens.
- FHU RV site is available for those staff who have their own RVs.
- Our staff eats the same meals as our guests. Meals are provided at various times throughout the summer when we are serving groups. All meals are provided through the fall hunting season.
- Laundry facilities are available for the staff during non-Ranch use hours. Our staff also enjoys FREE WIFI and cell service, though it is somewhat limited and spotty at times, due to our location.
- Staff have opportunities to ride horses during their time off
- A monthly salary paid twice monthly.

Getting Here and Getting Around
- Hired staff are welcome to drive their own vehicle. This has many advantages and is encouraged.
- We are located within an hours drive of the Cortez and Telluride Airports and will pick up staff at those locations.
- Sometimes carpool options become available for individuals to ride out with another staff person from the same general area.
There are many fun adventures for staff both on and off the ranch. Right from the ranch, there is horseback riding (no charge!), hiking, fishing, river tubing, and mountain climbing. Off the ranch, activities include rafting, rock climbing, Jeeping, and mountain biking as well as road trips to fun spots such as Telluride, Mesa Verde, Durango, Ouray Hot Springs, the Grand Canyon and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Thirteen of Colorado's 54 highest peaks, those taller than 14,000 feet, can be found here in the San Juan Mountain Range of Colorado.
