Spend a beautiful summer and fall season contributing to a positive, growth oriented team @ The Circle K Ranch and Hunting Outfitters. Our Head Wrangler works with our Equine Operations Director and provides leadership for our equine staff in providing guest orientations, guiding horseback adventures, caring for our herd of 40+ horses, giving basic riding instruction, taking responsibility for the upkeep of barns, fences, tack, etc., schedule & record keeping, hauling horses, and packing during the fall hunting season. Occasionally, when the need arises, our wrangler team helps out in other areas of the ranch, contributing to an overall ranch team culture and guest experience. We are looking for a Wrangler Team Leader with experience in natural horsemanship, guiding and guest services, horse packing, setting up of wall tents and camps, etc,...All with a willingness to learn, grow and provide guests and fellow team members with safe, fun, memorable, and connective experiences with horses while contributing to a wholesome, family friendly environment. Experience/training in Equine Facilitated Learning a plus. If you have the experience in all the above + strong, positive leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
The Head Wrangler must possess strong personal and team leadership capabilities, have excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills be detail oriented as well as have a positive, strong, and loving leadership style.

Take Reservations. Guest Services. Check guests in and out. Assist with Social Media and other Marketing.
Must be out going, friendly, detail oriented with high level of verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Social Media marketing, Microsoft Word and Excel. Quick to learn reservation system, etc. Ability to multi task. A Passion for guest satisfaction.

We are looking for a Cook and Assistant Cooks passionate about providing fresh, home-style cooking and guest satisfaction, implementing ranch recipes under the direction of food and beverage manager. Experience required.

Our ranch generals help wherever the need is greatest. This is generally in housekeeping and in our ranch kitchen. Depending on experience and qualifications, they may also help out from time to time with giving pony rides and with grounds keeping or maintenance. We are looking for people willing to do whatever is needed with a heart of joy and service.

Project Team Member with experience and background in construction, remodeling, some electric and plumbing with an ability to work as part of a team or alone, with or without supervision and direction. Willing to take and follow direction as well as offer input, with a desire for excellence.

Maintenance/Groundskeeping. vehicle, equipment, building and grounds maintenance and upkeep. Experience in auto repair, electric, plumbing, propane and small engine repair. If upkeep and repair is your passion, we would love to hear from you.

Professional Elk Hunting Guide:
Successful and experienced elk hunter
Strong knowledge of Elk and ability to "call"
Ability to work well with people
Strong verbal communication skills
Ability to safely guide people on horseback or on foot
Knowledge of our area and/or willingness and ability to scout and learn area on own time
Knowledge of firearms and bows
Our hunting guides get to focus on one thing....their hunt and their hunting client. We have wranglers and packers that prepare horses and do the work of packing game. All hunting is done from our main lodge where 3 home-cooked meals are prepared and served daily. We are looking for professional guides with great hunting and people skills to join our team of outstanding individuals. We have been outfitting hunters in the San Juan mountains of Colorado for over 36 years and have a reputation built upon integrity and honesty, providing a wholesome outdoor experience for elk and mule deer hunters. We are looking for a certified EFL practitioner and administrative assistant to co-facilitate our Equine Connections sessions (see website for details), who is also willing to learn and help throughout all areas of ranch operations.
Assist in the direction and management of overall equine operations
Assist with Equine Connections Sessions (EFL certification required)
Administrative assistant to Ranch Director
Assist with trail rides as needed during summer season
Become familiar with each ranch department and help out in general wherever needed to ensure exceptional guest experience
During fall hunting season: Assist with horse deliveries, packing game and camp gear, setting camps, etc.
Be a team player
Help with start up of non-profit arm of business
Assist with social media presence and marketing
Requirements:
EFL Certified
Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
Ability to safely haul horses in goose neck trailers with standard transmission trucks
1st Aid and CPR certified
Strong logistical, organizational and administrative skills
Social Media marketing experience a plus

Wranglers need to have knowledge and experience in natural horsemanship, ability and experience safely hauling horses over various road condition, clean driving record, 1st Aid and CPR (Can be acquired at ranch in spring, if need be), Horse Packing experience, Ability, and experience teaching others basic horsemanship.
