Job Description and Summary
Work with a small team of dockhands to make sure our guests have the trip of a lifetime! Your job will consist of a little bit of everything -- from boat and gear maintenance to fish processing, and customer service.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Ensure boats and fishing gear are cleaned and maintained.
Assist guests with fishing gear requests including helping them rig gear, and making sure their boats are outfitted with working rods/reels and bait.
Provide boat orientations to new guests. During the orientation, you will show them how to operate gear, go over safety protocols, and show them around the boat. Often times this is their first impression of the lodge, so a fun and friendly energy is a must to start their vacation off on the right note.
Filet and process fish. Ability to work quickly is a must. Organizational and multitasking skills are preferred.
Ensure our fleet of 10 boats are fueled every night. This requires driving our 23' 150hp boats to the fueling dock and back. Willingness to learn to drive boats is a must. Preference given to applicants with experience.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of all marine facility, shop and fish processing areas.
Provide the highest level of customer service with a smile.
Preference given to people with boating experience; however, boating experience is not a requirement. We are looking for people who are committed to giving our guests the highest level of service and making their fishing trip unforgettable. A positive attitude and willingness to learn and work hard will go a long way.
Pay DOE + Tips.
Free housing included, 40 hours/week plus opportunities for OT.
Lodge vehicle available for employee trips to town.
Boating experience, guiding experience, or an interest in fishing is preferred.
Preference to applicants who can work the full season June-October 1st, more flexible opportunities may be available upon inquiry.
