Job Description
- Basic deli duties of prepping, and preparing hot and cold dishes to customer specifications

Hotel Front Desk Agent
Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, Alaska
We are a medium-sized resort located sixty miles North-East of Fairbanks, Alaska, located in the Chena River State Recreation Area. Our Front Desk Agent position requires an upbeat, personable employee who values the customer experience. The Front Desk is the first and the final point of contact for guests – the agent each guest interacts with will be able to make or break the guests’ stay.
The agent will be expected to:
- Communicate with each individual guest for a personalized experience.
- Inform guests of all on-site amenities, including directions and hours of different departments.
- Check guests in and out of the hotel using Executech software.
- Bill guests accurately and interpret folios.
- Handle low-level guest complaints.
- Answer the phone and redirect calls as necessary.

Are you someone who enjoys planning? Assist our guests by planning their stay at Chena Hot Springs Resort! Our ideal Sales Agent would be a self-motivated problem-solver who loves to chat with our guests via phones, email, or Instant Messaging. They would be booking hotel rooms, activities, massages, transportation, or all of the above in a pre-built package.
Also expected would be the ability to answer many of our guests' questions regarding the resort, policies, Northern Lights, and Alaska in general.
Before beginning the position as a Sales Agent, there is a training period where the candidate works for three weeks in the positions of Housekeeper, Pool Technician, Tour Guide, Busser, and Front Desk Agent, before 'graduating' to Sales Agent at the end of the training period.
Included in employment is single- or double-occupancy housing, two hot meals a day, access to the Hot Springs and all tours, and usage of the Chena Shuttle.

Dog Handler
Chena Hot Springs, Fairbanks, Alaska
We are a medium-sized resort located sixty miles North-East of Fairbanks, Alaska, located in the Chena River State Recreation Area. Do you like animals and aren't afraid to get your hands (and everything else) dirty? We are looking for a Handler to join our Dogyard Crew. This is an extremely physically demanding position and heavy lifting and constant movement is expected daily.
The Handler will be expected to join their team and perform the following tasks daily:
- Feed 80+ dogs twice a day
- Water 80+ dogs
- Feed goats, chickens, and horses
- Shovel waste from the Kennel
- Light cleaning and stocking of the Visitor's Center
- Projects - painting, construction of dog houses, Kennel improvements
- Operate Dog Mushing rides (NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!)
- Run the Kennel Tour, a 45 minute informational tour.
- Communicate with each individual guest for a personalized experience.
The Handler may be expected to do the following on an infrequent basis:
- Issue medication for various animals

Job Description
- Work on a variety of different powered equipment including but not limited to; generators, passenger vehicles, ATVs, snow machines, lawn mowers, industrial heavy equipment, and our illustrious SUS-Vs. These Mercedes Diesel-powered famous tracked vehicles are one of our Resorts star attractions.
- Drive heavy equipment and move it around the property to where it is needed
- Inspect and maintain all the equipment at the resort as well as perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Work with the maintenance department on any projects they require mechanical help with

Enter stores to shop items not able to be pulled for bulk orders
Expeditor Requirements:
Knowledge of the Fairbanks/North Pole area and stores is required.
Long-term local resident of Fairbanks
CDL Class A license for pulling trailers or using larger box vans with special DOT
requirements.
Confident driver to drive on snow and ice conditions in the winter to Chena Hot
Springs Resort.
