Oversees and coordinates daily operations of Cascade Lodge (29-unit property) to ensure the highest standards for cleanliness, product quality, and guest service. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic and knowledgeable of lodging operations. Must be hands on in all aspects of the day to day operation with a focus on excellent customer service and exceptional guest experience. Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Housing is included and provided as part of the compensation package.

  • Ensures that housekeeping team has all rooms and cabins cleaned and ready for guests' arrival, leads daily housekeeping team meeting, trains and orients new housekeeping staff, assists with housekeeping duties during peak time when necessary. Works closely with the Innkeeper to ensure that housekeeping department is running smoothly and standards are being met.
  • Anticipates and assesses guests' needs and responds in a courteous and professional manner. Serves as night MOD/caretaker, answers calls and assists guests with minor issues after business hours. Typically receive one to two calls a week after hours.
  • Plans for, makes orders, and keeps accurate inventory of housekeeping supplies.
  • Monitors & maintains proper inventory of all supplies; cleaning, linen, guest toiletries, etc. 
  • Ensures housekeeping supplies are well maintained, follows up that housekeepers have appropriately stocked the supplies at the end of their shift. 
  • Manages the Innkeeper position and the housekeeping team (staff of 3-7) and assists in all housekeeping duties when needed, housekeeping duties are part of this job, average 6-8 hours per week.
  • Responds to emails, answers phone calls, monitors and manages reservations, front desk shifts are part of this job, average 30-32 hours per week.
  • Works with the front desk team on matters pertaining to guest reservations. 
  • Resolves minor maintenance issues and keeps accurate maintenance logs, promptly reports major maintenance issues to maintenance technician. 
  • Perform room inspections and all common areas on a daily basis and promptly addresses any and all issues that may be present. 
  • Develops, implements, and maintains deep cleaning schedules. 
  • Manages daily restaurant and front desk audit and bank reconciliation. 
  • Manages expenses within approved budget constraints. 
  • Prepares accurate and timely reports as required. 
  • Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops housekeeping and front desk staff when necessary and manages workflow. 
  • Posts job openings, screens and interviews candidates, makes job offers. 
  • Manages new staff on-boarding; completes new hire paperwork, checks new staff in and out of housing, develops training plans and schedules.
  • Manages staff housing cleanliness, utilizes housekeeping team to ensure housing units are ready to receive new hires.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of the housekeeping and front desk team; actively works to promote and recognize performance. 
  • Coordinates vehicle usage, staff pick-ups and drop off’s at the housing. 
  • Coordinates and ensures stocking and inventory levels of a very small gift shop. 
  • Keeps up to date on overall activities, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.  
  • Manages limited marketing responsibilities online, via phone, and in person, such as responding to online reviews, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 


Must have valid driver’s license.  

  • 2+ years related experience or equivalent housekeeping/front desk experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees
