Far enough from civilization, yet fifteen minutes from the college town of Bemidji to enjoy time off!
Camp Thunderbird for Boys and Camp Thunderbird for Girls in Bemidji, Minnesota. Our communities are an eclectic mix of campers and staff from more than 8 countries, 25 states, and 70+ suburbs across the US. We hire over 150 staff between our two camps.
Our separate boys and girls camps operate independently with a spirit of cooperation. Staff members enjoy the social aspects of our close proximity and partnership.
Thunderbird is a place where staff expands their leadership and communication skills while teaching and working closely with campers. We are a stepping stone to related youth and adult-oriented fields and we love to help launch our staff and campers.
Counselors To Teach - Archery, Canoeing, Climbing, Fishing, Baseball, Music, Ski Boat driver, Sailing, Swimming, and general skills with a desire to train.
Most staff members live in cabins with 2-4 counselors and 6-10 campers.
All applicants must be willing to work hard, be a team player, and enjoy the outdoors.
Contract dates are June 7-August 11 with optional weeks of work available on either end of the summer.
We can provide internship supervision.
The salary for the summer includes: room and board, a travel stipend, and is based on qualifications, current certs, etc.
Certifications available in - Lifeguard, Wilderness First Aid, and Wilderness First Responder Certification
