Leadership positions begin June 12th for a week of supervisor training!
Staff training begins June 18th for most positions.
Your camp contract would end August 30th for most positions, with the exception of leadership positions, which end August 31st. Some flexibility on those dates depending on position and candidate. Extended start dates and end dates are possible depending on position and interest. Start as soon as May 1st!
The Assistant Cook assists the Food Service Manager and other kitchen staff in preparing meals for campers and staff as assigned. Completes all assigned tasks effectively and with little direction.
General Counselors are responsible for the program, care, well-being and happiness of 6 to 10 youths; provide supervision, guidance, and support of campers. They care for a cabin of children for a session (week) at a time taking them through meals, routines, and scheduled activities. Must be over 18 years old.
This person coordinates our inclusion program which provides behavioral support and assistance, they also supervise three inclusion specialists to assist, as well as support staff working with those campers. This person must be 21 or older and would be a bonus to have a driver's license.
Support counselors in working with kids with additional support needs or disablilities; work with the Inclusion Coordinator to implement Inclusion support plans as a counselor or support staff. Previous camp counseling, experience in special education and/or experience with children with special needs is helpful
The Photo Specialist is responsible for documenting camp! They take around 200 pictures per day, keep our blog updates daily and create a slideshow each week for campers to view. They also help in units with evening supervision and where needed.
Provides instruction for campers in archery, teambuilding, arts & crafts, nature, and outdoor living skills; leads and teaches activities for resident and day campers; maintains program areas and equipment. Helps with camper supervision, helps plan all camp events. All training provided on-site!
Supervise riding specialists, coordinate riding schedules, feed and care for herd of 26 horses. Maintain high safety standards. Previous riding instruction and leadership or supervisory experience required.
Implements the riding program (Western), including supervision of all staff and campers when using riding facilities; plans and carries out a safe riding program with activities that meet Camp Fire, American Camp Association, and generally accepted horsemanship standards.
Support Specialists work as a team to support many of the support functions for summer camp, including operations of Grubstake (pack-out food and equipment), the camp store, mail, dining hall service, dishwashing, and the office. May also assist with occasional camper programming or supervision.
Adventure Counselors are responsible for the care, well-being and happiness of 6 to 12 youths in the Tripping programs; lives on the site and leads trips off-site; provides 24-hour-a-day supervision of campers. WFA/WFR required but camp will pay for/provide if able to attend May 19-21. Experience leading trips and 21 years + desired.
A Unit Leader supervises all counselors assigned to the unit. They help run camp on a day-to-day basis, assist with behavior management and plan activities for campers. Unit Leaders are part of the leadership staff at Camp Sealth.
Implements a safe, coordinated program of waterfront activities that meet Camp Fire, American Camping Association, and American Red Cross standards. Responsible for instructing campers in kayaking, canoeing, rowing, paddleboarding, fishing. Maintains equipment and helps with camper supervision. Opportunity for paid lifeguard training.
