The sleep away summer camp experience allows campers to be fully immersed in the full array of activities, sports, and adventures that Camp Nashoba North has to offer!
Camp Nashoba North is situated on the crystal clear waters of Crescent Lake in the Sebago Lake region of Southern Maine. Camp Nashoba North offers water-skiing, wake-boarding, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and swimming.
Sports are a large component of our structured choice program and our offerings include: soccer, tennis, golf, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, ultimate Frisbee, archery, wilderness hiking and more.
For the performer, we offer weekly One Act plays, dance recitals in hip hop, jazz, and modern, and music recitals in vocals, piano, guitar, and drums. Camp Nashoba North also puts on 2 musicals each summer. Creative campers will enjoy woodworking, pottery, photography, arts & crafts, and mixed art mediums in our many studios.
For those campers that enjoy horseback riding, Camp Nashoba North has one of New England's premier horseback riding programs.

The Employee Experience
As a counselor at Nashoba North, you can expect to have an incredibly exciting and rewarding summer. It is an environment that attracts a diverse group of interesting people from around the world. Expect to enjoy your time within the camp environment working with campers and creating the perfect camp atmosphere. Likewise, expect to enjoy the time off that our staff receives, enabling them to interact with their co-workers and create long lasting friendships.
The ideal candidate for Camp Nashoba North wants to make a difference in the life of a child and wants to have an impact on the world that we live in.
Our staff is comprised of a diverse group with ages ranging from 18-35, all of whom are passionate about working with children. Our counselors come from all over the United States and many different countries around the world. In a given summer, at least 8 countries may be represented within the staff. Approximately 70% return from year to year and teachers and graduate students comprise a large percentage of our staff.
One of the primary duties of our staff is to stand as positive role models for our camper community. Our counselors have a greater impact on the lives of our campers than they may ever know and each staff member needs to understand the degree to which our campers follow their lead. Because our staff’s every action have such an impact, it is their positive attitudes and enthusiasm that set the pace for camp each summer.
Room and Board
Room and Board is provided at Camp Nashoba North. Counselors enjoy modern rustic cabins with running water, hot and cold showers and spacious layouts. The food at camp is very healthy and farm to table. We offer vegetarian meals along with other food service needs. You are provided 3 delicious meals a day made from scratch by our executive chef of 20 years!
Getting Here and Getting Around
You can fly into Boston Logan airport. After collecting your baggage head outside the terminal building, follow signs for “Ground Transportation”, walk to your right following signs for buses. You can purchase tickets through this link https://webstore.concordcoachlines.com/. Here a Concord Trailways Coach will pick you up and take you to Portland bus station where will pick you up and bring you to camp. Always call camp before you board the bus to confirm your arrival time. The bus fee is approximately $30 US dollars.
You could also fly into NYC either JFK or LaGuardia; from there you would go to 373 EAST 42nd Street for the Concord Coach Bus stop. Tickets must be purchased before going to the bus stop. You can purchase tickets through the Concord Trailways link provided above. There are two departures for June 15th and June 16th 8:30am and 2:00pm, one-way tickets are $69.00 US dollars.
If you have a car, you are more than welcomed to drive to camp. There is parking at camp for staff cars. Once you are at camp, you can always catch a ride with a fellow staff member or take advantage of the camp shuttle which will drop and pick you up.

Camp Nashoba North provides our staff with the unique and incredibly enjoyable opportunity to provide a memorable summer for our wonderful group of campers. A large portion of our counselors’ duties take place outdoors on our beautiful campus. Summers at Nashoba North are full of excitement as we lead an active lifestyle and encourage campers and staff alike, to step beyond their comfort zone and gain new experiences. Our staff takes a great deal of pride in facilitating the level of personal growth that we see within our campers. Additionally, we see staff members form bonds with one another that carry on long after camp is over.
We are currently seeking specialist in the following areas. The ideal candidates should be comfortable teaching their area of expertise. All jobs include room and board, laundry, high-speed internet and days off to enjoy the wonder and beauty of Maine.
Responsibilities include planning off-site trips, organizing special weekend outdoor activities (fire building, outdoor living skills, etc...) and leading adventures in and around camp. Room and board is included. Job start day is June 12th through August 19th with the possibility of leading to work the fall season.
Responsibilities include teaching swim lessons, windsurfing, and water-skiing. We are seeking boat drivers as well on the waterfront. Swim instructors must have valid WSI training (we can provide prior to camp). Lifeguard is a plus.
