Camp Augusta is a 90 acre, non-profit, residential summer camp nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California, and we offer a one-of-a-kind experience for campers and staff alike.
Augusta stands proudly and equally on two pillars: play and personal growth. Play is the heart of our summer camp experience. We offer our campers the opportunity to rediscover the innocence and wonder of childhood away from the distractions of modern life. Where camper’s dreams meet counselor’s know-how, Augusta breathes magic into every day. And just as important as the spirit of play, personal growth underpins every aspect of life at camp. Engaging deeply with our intentional community, both campers and staff have the opportunity to develop self-awareness, confidence, creativity, healthy ways of communicating and so much more!
We're hiring many positions for the summer of 2021, including:

We offer over 150 different activities, and we are always excited about any creative contributions you bring to the table. Staff also have the opportunity to develop themselves personally and professionally. We acknowledge these are unprecedented times and strive to prioritize health and safety of campers and staff so we can continue to bring wish, wonder, and surprise into children's lives through magical days spent at summer camp. In response to the ongoing risks of COVID-19, we are taking steps to develop a comprehensive policy for summer operations. As part of this response, Camp Augusta will be a closed site for 2021. Working at a summer camp involves long days full of different activities, adventures, joy, and challenges. It can be exhausting, and one of the most rewarding and memorable work experiences possible. At Camp Augusta, working hard is often equivalent to playing hard... nearly everything we do here revolves around tapping our collective creativity to inspire the members of our community with fun-filled experiences.
In the course of a single day, you may wake your campers up with a 70s-themed dance party; sing songs with other staff at breakfast; exchange life stories with campers while zip lining 80 feet above the ground; smear oatmeal on your fellow staff members' faces; play the role of a space vampire in a camp-wide game; and canoe into the middle of Lake Vera for stargazing.
The days here are incredibly full of wonder and surprises. What fun will you bring with you to Augusta?
