At Borealis Basecamp, we are dedicated to providing the best customer service in Alaska to our guests. We are an experiential destination just outside of Fairbanks, where guests from all over the world gather to watch the northern lights and experience Alaska’s beauty. We seek dedicated, friendly, energetic people who enjoy interacting with guests from all over the world to join our team.
Activities Coordinator Duties: Greet guests as they walk into activities center, check them into activities by matching them to their reservation, ensuring all assigned waivers are filled out, prepare guests for activities by outfitting them in winter clothing or rain clothing, sanitize winter/rain gear as it is returned, sanitize safety equipment as it is returned, maintain current and accurate availability of activities inside of reservations system, coordinate with guides and partners to ensure timely departure of all tours, sell merchandise from activities desk, clean activities desk and maintain tidy area for guests, manage allocation of machines and resources inside Flybook.
Job Requirements: The ability to hold a conversation with a stranger for several minutes is a crucial part of this position. Customer service experience, strong oral and communication skills, proficient computer skills with excel and word, flexibility with scheduling, and ability to lift, rotate, and place 50 lbs necessary. High school diploma or GED preferred. Time management and organizational skills are necessary. Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours a day.
Starting Pay: $16/ hr
