Start Date:
Starts in 6 months. (Jul 14, 2022)

We are looking for an upbeat fun people person to keep our sport fishing lodge, guest cabins (2) and kitchen clean.  We operate a very remote fishing lodge in Alaska.  This lodge is fly-in only and is not attached to any road system. We are a small lodge so it is very personable. The job requires daily cleaning of our guest cabins, keeping the main lodge clean, laundry, and doing the dishes. The chef would like help prepping for breakfast and dinner. A more thorough list of job duties may be supplied for interested applicants.

Our lodge is small enough that we really treat people like family.  We feel it's important for people to experience our small part of Alaska as we would want our friends to experience it.  This holds true for our employees.  It is a small group and we want you to enjoy your experience.  Since we are so remote there are challenges.  Getting out of the lodge area will be either on Saturday or Sunday only and is not guaranteed every weekend, weather can dictate this along with other challenges.  There is no walking to or automobile transportation to visit other lodges, businesses or shopping.  There is no Television, movies on our change out night only. One of our pilots will need to fly you in a Cessna 180 to fish, beach comb or visit Katmai National Park.  Internet can be a challenge as we operate on satellite with weather causing complications and users competing for data.  Our phone system is wifi calling through the satellite.  The pilots always have priority for internet.  They need to keep an eye on weather.  We operate on a generator.  The generator does not run all day long.  Electricity is only available while the generator is available.  This job is for the person who can acclimate to remote living. One other consideration is that we are at the lodge alone while the fishing clients and pilots are gone throughout the day.  There is no medical facilities.  Medical facilities in the village of Naknek are limited as a clinic, no hospital.  Applicants, please keep this mind if applying for this position.

We will purchase your airline ticket from Anchorage to King Salmon where you will be picked up by our pilot guide and flown to the lodge.  You will have a bedroom to yourself with a shared bathroom.  We will be paying the successful candidate $150 per day.  The job starts July 14, 2022 and completes September 11,  2022.  You will also earn tips.
