Raft GuidesNow accepting applications from experienced/inexperienced raft guides! No experience? Don't fret, Big Creek Expeditions offers free training for inexperienced guides. Boasting one of the most experienced and qualified staff on the river, the knowledge and skills you will learn will last a lifetime. Upon successful completion of our guide training, you will be offered a full-time raft guide position for the 2019 season (Labor Day-Memorial Day). Our guide training program will cover river safety, river etiquette, technical skills, basic rescue training, First Aid and CPR training and various other skills necessary to be a successful raft guide. If you have a positive attitude and a thirst for adventure, Big Creek Expeditions is the place for you!

Our RiverThe Pigeon River is an intermediate river with two commercially rafted sections, The Upper Section and The Lower Section. The Upper Pigeon River is a five and a half mile stretch of Class III-IV whitewater for ages 8+. The Lower Section is a five and a half mile scenic Class I-II section for ages 3+. The Pigeon River is a dam-released river, flowing on a scheduled release from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from May to September.
