The Lodge at Whitefish Lake is a year-round resort located in the northwest corner of Montana and the gateway to Glacier National Park. The Lodge rests on the shores of Whitefish Lake. Whitefish is a resort community offering an array of summer and winter activities.

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake is the ideal location for summer employment. Located on the shores of beautiful Whitefish Lake, we're surrounded by some of Montana’s most beautiful wilderness, a quick drive and easy access to Glacier National Park and at the base of Whitefish Mountain Resort. In addition, The Lodge is located in Whitefish which is a quaint and unique town offering great restaurants, shopping, live music, and festivals throughout the summer. A perfect setting to work hard and play harder, enjoying all that Montana has to offer. We are a year round resort but our “peak” summer season officially starts on June 15th and ends October 15th. The area offers an abundance of recreational activities and experiences you will never forget!

The Lodge provides discounts to its employees for lodging (based on availability and management approval) as well as discounts on meals in our restaurant, retail in our boutique, marina rentals and spa services. We also provide $4.00 staff lunches prepared by one of our chefs 7 days a week.  We encourage our employees to experience everything The Lodge has to offer and also encourage experiencing all of the activities in the area, many of which we get discounts for.

Getting Here and Getting Around

The Lodge is located 20 minutes from Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Kalispell, Montana. The Lodge staff would be happy to pick you up at the airport when you arrive. The Kalispell airport offers daily flights on the following airlines:

  • Delta
  • Horizon/Alaska Airlines
  • Allegiant Air
  • United Airlines

Amtrak is also an easy way to get to the Lodge. The Amtrak Station in Whitefish is only 5 minutes from the Lodge and shuttle service is provided.

There is transportation available to get you around Whitefish and surrounding areas, although once you arrive there will be little need, as everywhere you will wish to go in town is within walking distance. 

For Fun

During time off employees have an opportunity to play! You can experience many of the activities our guests enjoy. Horseback riding, waterskiing, wake boarding, white-water rafting, stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, fishing, zip-lining, hiking, tennis, and volleyball are all activities available in the immediate area. Many employees explore the surrounding area visiting Glacier National Park, and spending time in the towns of Bigfork, Kalispell, and Whitefish.

Our Jobs

The Boat Club Restaurant - Dining Room, Lounge, our outdoor lakeside Tiki Bar and banquets: Our restaurant/lounge employees are responsible for serving our guests three meals a day in the Main Lodge. Tiki employees provide service at our lake and pool side bar. Banquet employees provide top-notch service to various events both indoor and outdoor. Employees must be friendly, positive, and provide a high level of service to our guests.

Kitchen Staff - Looking for motivated, professional and experienced culinary team members who take pride in their work. Candidates must have a strong desire to produce the highest quality of food and the skills to do so. We have openings for breakfast line cooks, lunch cooks, bar cooks, banquet cooks and fine dining cooks.

Guest Services - Lodge Front Desk, Valet and Concierge: The front desk staff is responsible for attending to all guest inquiries as well as perform daily office duties. We are looking for friendly but professional staff members who can multi-task and work well in a high energy position. Excellent English required. Our friendly Valet Staff members are responsible for parking our guests’ vehicles as well as assisting with their luggage and driving shuttles. Valid driver's license required and must be comfortable driving many vehicles including a manual transmission. This is the first face a guest sees when arriving to the resort so a friendly smile and good people skills are what we look for. Concierge is responsible for assisting guests in booking special outings such as horseback riding, rafting tous etc. as well as fulfilling special requests while the guest is in-house such as staging a romantic presentation of flower petals or delivering packages. Knowledge of the Flathead Valley is required.

Housekeeping - The housekeeping staff is responsible for providing and maintaining clean, sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying surroundings for guests and guest rooms. A positive attitude is a must with the ability to stay on task and work as a team.

Spa at Whitefish Lake - Licensed professionals can enjoy a peaceful environment while performing services such as massage, facials and nail services. Front desk positions also available for those without a license that would book appointments, greet clients and help clients prep for their services.

Marina/Pool Attendants - Provide top-notch customer service to marina and pool guests by:

Marina - assisting dock usage, equipment rentals, reservations, refueling of boats, and maintain cleanliness/safety.

Pool - verify hotel/condo guest for entry, provide towels, ensure furniture is kept in pristine shape, and maintain cleanliness of pool and hot tub area.

Catering Asst.

Catering Assistant Employment Term: Seasonal, full time, May 15 – September 30 Wage: DOE The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-motivated, goal-oriented, friendly, and have excellent communication skills. You must be able to work as part of a team or individually and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a great deal of one-on-one contact with clients, schedule meetings, confirm appointments, and handle incoming and outgoing calls. This position will be responsible for various tasks as they relate to catering, follow up with customers, and attend BEO meetings with the Food and Beverage staff and the Catering Manager. Catering Assistant will handle tasks such as create and update Banquet Event Orders, confirm final guest counts prior to events, create and update event diagrams, and perform administrative office duties such as filing, preparing files, copying, scanning and faxing. This position requires attention to detail and close communication between the catering professionals, banquet team and customers. Experience in sales and catering is a plus. Candidate must be able to respond to rapidly changing work conditions and address immediate and future customer demands with very little notice or prompting. The Catering Assistant will also assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests. The position will require standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift, and may require occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Candidate must exhibit maturity of judgment and behavior; maintain high standards for work areas and appearance; maintain a positive attitude; have the ability to work a flexible schedule including some holidays, nights and weekends as needed; must comply with dress code requirements; must attend work when scheduled and show up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity; undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested of a Catering Assistant.
