About Asticou Inn
We pride ourselves on carrying on the tradition of the Asticou Inn; with sweeping lawns that reach to the Atlantic on one side and trails leading into Acadia National Park on the other.
We are seeking employees that are as enthusiastic about our location as we are and have a desire to share it with our many guests.
The Inn opens mid-May and closes the end of October. We have 48 rooms: 31 in the main inn and 17 in adjacent cottages.
Our restaurant serves three meals a day both inside and outside on our deck. We even have a lounge and bar for both our Inn and public guests to relax and take in the view.
The Asticou Inn is known for our events from weddings to fundraising galas.
The ideal candidate will be have open availability for the entire season. All of our positions are temporary, so we ask that job seekers make us their sole priority during the limited months of employment. S/he must be willing to cross the boundaries of the job description in order to meet the changing needs of the property, and maintain a positive and helpful attitude, even when things don't go according to plan. The candidate should also keep in mind that this job is real work--we are not here to provide your "Maine adventure." We want you to enjoy your season and explore and enjoy the area, but we have a large job to do and we require that seasonal employees make that job their priority.

It is a great place for outdoor activities: hiking, cycling, kayaking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, and sailing.
Things to look forward to include watching the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain (where the sun hits the United States first each day), whale watching (there is nothing like watching a humpback breaching completely out of the water) and eating lobster on the beach!
There are many cultural activities in the area, including music festivals, theatrical performances and movies.
