  • Cook I

    Food & Beverage
    Arapahoe Basin
    $15.75 / hour

    Food and Beverage employees at Arapahoe Basin are committed to creating a day worth repeating for our guests ensuring “Legendary” service and food quality throughout our Food and Beverage outlets.

    As a Cook I at Arapahoe Basin you will work in our food court style restaurants and use basic preparation and cooking methods to create and serve food items to guests while providing excellent customer service. This position is our entry level cooking position and is typically assigned to one cooking station or service “window” in the food court each shift. You will be responsible for opening, operating, continued cleanliness and closing of your assigned F&B station on a daily basis.     Essential Responsibilities: 

    • Positively interact with and prepare food for guests in our food court style restaurants ensuring consistent, quality, food and excellent guest service.
    • Prepare F&B station for your shift with regard to business volumes including preparation of backups, sanitizer bins, and general organization of the kitchen area.
    • Prepare food items at assigned station according to recipes and A-Basin standards.
    • Rotate and store food supplies according to food safety guidelines and manager's instruction to minimize waste.
    • Adhere to sanitation and food handling procedures required by local and state health codes.

  • Cook II

    As a Cook II at Arapahoe Basin you will work in our food court style restaurants and use basic preparation and cooking methods to create and serve food items to guests while providing excellent customer service. This position is one step above our entry level and requires the knowledge and ability to handle higher business volume while working multiple kitchen stations or service “windows” in the food court each shift. You will be responsible for opening, operating, continued cleanliness and closing of your assigned F&B station(s) on a daily basis.     Essential Responsibilities:

    As a Server at Arapahoe Basin, you are responsible for taking guest orders and serving food and beverage items to tables in accordance with guest preference and Abasin operating procedures to ensure the best guest experience possible. This role also includes dealing with guest complaints, opening and closing side work as well as ensuring continued cleanliness of the restaurant.     Essential Responsibilities:

    • Interacts in a professional, friendly, and timely manner with a variety of guests. Must anticipate guest’s needs and extend hospitality to all.
    • Service guests in a table service environment in accordance with Arapahoe Basin service standards. Works as a team to ensure the best service in the restaurant is provided.
    • This position requires a person with high energy, self-direction, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
    • Follows F&B cash handling policies including transaction and change making procedures. Responsible for an accurate cash drop.
    • Maintaining a clean and presentable restaurant at all times, as well as completing weekly cleaning tasks in a timely manner.
    • Completes opening and closing procedures (side work) according to Manager’s instruction
    • Makes sure all areas are stocked with supplies and notifies any product or equipment needs in accordance to F&B procedures.

  • Lift Operator

    Mountain Operations

    Arapahoe Basin Lift Operators enjoy working with guests, and aim to provide exceptional customer service every day. We are passionate about skiing/snowboarding and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with our guests. One thing is for sure, we work hard and we play hard.

    As a Lift Operator you assist in the loading and unloading of passengers on aerial tramways, tow ropes and surface lifts. Lift Operators are also responsible for ensuring lift tickets are valid and assisting guests with any ticket issues.     Essential Responsibilities:

    • Interact positively with guests and seeks to assist with any guest concerns to provide a day worth repeating.
    • Complete CPTSB specified training requirements to safely operate tramway.
    • Demonstrate basic knowledge of ANSI standards and applications upon successful completion of training.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of lift emergency procedures upon successful completion of training.
    • Maintain area surrounding machinery throughout the day including proper snow levels, ramp maintenance and rope closures.
    • Checks lift tickets and passes for valid access using RFID technology and reports issues to lead, supervisor, or managers.
    • Communicate information with guests, co-workers, ski patrol and other ski area personnel throughout the day.
    • Maintain message board with up-to-date communication.
    • Maintain tidy and safe work area; including proper storage of tools.
    • Maintain lift maze throughout the day including ropes, snow work and management of lanes as volume dictates.
    • Maintain clean and tidy locker room.
    • Support emergency evacuation of chairlift if necessary.

  • Rental Shop Tech

    Rental & Tune Shop

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Promotes the culture, values, and mission of Arapahoe Basin.
    • Work as a team to provide exceptional customer service to all guests in the rental shop to provide them with a day worth repeating.
    • Greet guests and identify their needs as they enter the shop.
    • Understand and communicate the rental & demo equipment packages and features to ensure the best match for the guests.
    • Ensure guests are well-equipped for a day on the mountain.
    • Fit guests with their needed rental equipment including boots, helmets, skis/snowboard, ski poles, etc.
    • Demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and manages smooth transitions thereafter to keep store operating to standard.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Supervises F&B staff in F&B operations, cafeterias or table service restaurant, including training, coaching, goal setting, performance evaluation, discipline and termination If needed.
    • Responsible for payroll, tip reconciliation, ordering, as well as hiring
    • Train staff to cash handling and service standards set forth by F&B management team.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Act as kitchen MOD in the absence of the Executive Chef.

    • Trains & supervises all employees in the kitchen operations.

  • Lift Maintenance Mechanic

    $13.75 - 25.75/hour depending on experience (see staging program requirements)

    Lift Mechanics at Arapahoe Basin are eligible for a staging program based on experience and tested knowledge which relates to applicable pay.

    Lift Mechanics at Arapahoe Basin are responsible for the maintenance of all aerial tramways and surface lift equipment during our Winter and Summer seasons.

    This includes being on site to assist other staff members with any lift issues as they arise as well as performing regularly scheduled maintenance and reporting on all aerial tramways and surface lifts in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and repair lift equipment, to ensure efficient, safe operation of all lifts.
    • Perform daily start-up procedures and complete daily operation log for all lifts.
    • Checks for abnormal sounds, appropriate fluid levels or other mechanical abnormalities throughout the course of daily work assignments.
    • Perform daily AM/PM inspections on lifts.
    • Assist with weekly and monthly inspections of lift machinery.
    • Perform annual scheduled maintenance on all lifts as directed.
    • Perform all work duties with ANSI B-77, CPTSB and OSHA Related Codes and protocols.
    • Performs and is familiar with “Lock Out Tag Out” and confined space procedures to ensure the safest possible work environment at all times.

    • Can run all Arapahoe Basin lifts on auxiliary power without assistance.

  • Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic

    $17.75 - 34.50/hr depending on experience (see staging program requirements)

    Vehicle Mechanics at Arapahoe Basin are eligible for a staging program based on experience and tested knowledge which relates to applicable pay.

    Arapahoe Basin Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics perform maintenance on all of Arapahoe Basin’s vehicle fleet which includes on-road vehicles, snowcats, snowmobiles, front end loaders, plow truck/sander, mini excavators, skid steers, trucks, shuttle buses, generators, chainsaws, and small gas-powered tools.

We are looking for people who have at least 2 - 3 years of Ski Patrol specific experience and have current OEC or EMT-B certification.     As a Ski Patroller at Arapahoe Basin you are responsible for providing medical care and emergency services to the guests or employees on our mountain as well as completing winter ski trail maintenance.     • Manage all payroll functions including: preparing and processing 4-5 payroll cycles each month for bi-weekly, monthly, and expense pays
