We are currently hiring for the following positions:

  • Dishwasher

    Food and Beverage
    Arapahoe Basin, Colorado
    $13.00 / hour

    Arapahoe Basin in seeking fun and motivated individuals to wash dishes in the various kitchens here at our Mountain. Come join an incredible Food and Beverage team in one of the most beautiful settings possible and be part of THE LEGEND-Apply Now!


    Dishwashers at Arapahoe Basin are responsible for washing, sanitizing and re-stocking plates, cups, utensils, pots and pans, while maintaining an organized and efficient system in the dish area. This position is responsible for mopping floors and emptying trash containers at the end of each shift and helping cooks as requested. May be asked, at times, to help in the front of the house bussing tables, washing windows, emptying trash, setting up for events or other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Demonstrate ability to work successfully with others in a small space.

    Must be able to lift 30 pounds and must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift.

  • Lift Operator

    Arapahoe Basin is looking for unique, fun and motivated individuals to join our Lift Operations team for the 2019-20 season. A-Basin Lift Operators enjoy interacting with guests and strive to provide exceptional customer service every day.     Lift Operators assist guests with loading and unloading chairlifts, scan lift tickets, assist guests with any questions or concerns, maintain the lift area by shoveling and raking snow.

    Upon hire, this position requires successful completion of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board’s Lift Operations test during training.

  • Summer Sales Manager

    Marketing

    The Summer Sales Manager at Arapahoe Basin will drive and execute sales of Arapahoe Basin Summer products by prospecting contacts, developing and maintaining existing relationships and working closely with all A-Basin operations with a goal to maximize revenues and increase market share.

     

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make your mark on selling our inaugural summer of High Alpine Adventures at Arapahoe Basin.   If you are an impassioned resort or outdoor industry sales professional who is looking for a challenge to be an integral part of this new line of business, this is the job for you.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

    • Maximize revenue goals by soliciting guests and groups through telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site tours, and developing contracts to negotiate and close sales.
    • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics and create a summer customer database.
    • Sell all facets of the resort, both orally and in written form to previous, current and potential clients which includes conducting persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients.
    • Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented including the coordination of various departments' participation in servicing accounts.
    • Maintain accurate data entry of bookings into RTP point of sale system including records for billing and accounting purposes.
    • Prepare information for, meet with and tour clients as deemed appropriate by potential business from that account.
    • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to all departments in the resort to ensure high quality of service to customers.
    • Participate in group pre-arrival review other sales-related and marketing meetings as required.
    • Work closely and report to Banquets & Wedding Manager on selling summer related bookings as well as assist as needed with wedding and events bookings.
    • Attend summer related trade shows, community events, and industry meetings such as the Colorado Tourism Office which may include some travel out of town.
    • Attend winter focused ski shows as appropriate in conjunction with other resort operations.
    • Provide weekly reports of field sales success to supervisor.
    • Develop knowledge of market trends, competition and key customers of the resort.
    • Create partnerships with other activity providers, lodging properties, and convention centers.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned including sales for other functions, food & beverage, winter operations especially during fall months.

    Work Experience & Skill Requirements:

    • At least 2-3 years previous sales experience in the resort/outdoor industry required; proof/ references of successful sales results with this previous experience is also required.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (writing sample) required.
    • Experience successfully utilizing Microsoft Office and database software.

  • Aerial Adventure Park Manager

    Aerial Adventure
    Arapahoe Basin, Colorado

    This summer will be the inaugural year for the Aerial Adventure Park at Arapahoe Basin and we are seeking the right person to help launch this new operation.  If you are  passionate about sharing outdoor adventures with guests and leading a team to deliver superior experiences this may be the job for you.

    The Aerial Adventure Park Manager at Arapahoe Basin leads and is ultimately responsible for the vision, direction and execution of the Aerial Adventure Park including ensuring the guest experience, training and managing a quality park ranger staff and guiding the operation to be profitable.

    This is a seasonal position from May through September with the possibility of transferring into a winter operation in another capacity for employment during most of the other months of the year.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Develops park ranger training including safety guidelines in accordance with the Aerial Adventure Park operations manual as provided by Adventure Development Team.
    • Leads the comprehensive pre-season training program including rescue scenarios.
    • Leads, motivates, hires, coaches the park staff including scheduling and managing payroll.
    • Develops guest training modules and proper harnessing techniques as well as general knowledge of the natural surroundings and history of A-Basin to share with guests during pre-park information session.
    • Engages with guests and serves as a role model for guest service within this operation.
    • Understands and operates the Aerial Adventure Park to meet all compliance standards and oversees and/or performs all daily, weekly, monthly, annual and other necessary inspections and equipment tests.
    • Works with all necessary outside agencies and stakeholders including USFS, Colorado Dept of Oil and Public Safety, ACCT, etc.
    • Manages the financial areas of the department including budgets, expenses, vendor relations and equipment preservation and repair.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Work Experience & Skill Requirements:

    • Strong verbal communication skills; confident and precise in speech; uninhibited in group settings. Previous customer service experience and a passion to engage with people.
    • Managed or co-managed an operation which included a staff for at least 2 years.
    • Experience successfully utilizing Microsoft Office and database software.
    • Guiding, training, teaching people experience with a demonstration of these skills required during interview process.
    • Working knowledge in technical ropework, 
    • Must be age 18 or over and successfully complete required site-specific safety training course(s).
