LOW cost of living; rent, and utilities are less than $20 per week. Housing is dormitory-style living with 2-3 roommates. Amenities included are beds, wardrobes/closets, and shared laundry facilities. What does a Valet do at The Ahwahnee?

The Valet is responsible for welcoming and accommodating guests and staff in an effective and courteous manner. Provides guest services including but not limited to valeting guests' cars, and assisting Bellpersons with the timely delivery and pickup of guests' luggage to and from rooms. Provides guest services at the hotel so each staff member and guest experience a positive impression of the facility. Works in conjunction with all guest service employees. Works with any hotel guests who require or request hospitality services.

What is a work week like for a Valet?

  • Lifting and carrying luggage weighing 50 or more pounds up and down at least one flight of stairs and up to 50 yards.
  • Escort guests from the valet drive to the hotel lobby.
  • Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the hotel/property.
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Identify and explain hotel features and parking services to guests.
  • Transport guest luggage to and from valet drive and/or designated bell area to hotel lobby.
  • Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
  • Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage
  • Maintain a positive attitude in high-stress situations
  • Other duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?

  • Must have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess outgoing and enthusiastic personality
  • Demonstrate exceptional oral communication skills by conveying information effectively
  • Maintain a professional personal and uniform appearance in accordance with Company standards.
  • Must be able to work flexible shift hours (days, evenings, weekends, and holidays); approximately seven-plus hours per shift standing, sitting, and walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to work in changing weather conditions.

This location requires all individuals living on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
