Beyond Maine's bustling seaports and crowded resort towns lies an untarnished wilderness replete with mountain landscapes and countless remote fishing ponds. Escape to the tranquility of flowing rivers and spectacular waterfalls in the heart of an untouched wilderness. Wake up to the echoing calls of native loons and spot an elusive moose. Discover dramatic vistas along miles of interconnected trails or try your hand at landing one of the bountiful brook trout and landlocked salmon that inhabit the nearby ponds and streams. This full time, seasonal position has a consistent 5 days on, 2 days off schedule. This is a multi-season opportunity with housing available on-site. Our summer season runs early-May to November (Winter Season runs mid-December to mid-March). Opportunities for alternative work assignments during out-of-season periods may be structured.
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide the delivery of a warm, welcoming and safe atmosphere for all guests
- Provide friendly and attentive professional guest services
- Maintain the neatness, cleanliness and operations of facility grounds, systems, buildings, guest areas and kitchen at all times, including the cleaning of guest cabins
- Assist with the setup, serving and clean up of full-service meals
- Implement energy conservation and environmentally sound practices in daily operations
- Support AMC’s programs and the mission of providing responsible outdoor recreation activities, education opportunities and conservation practices
An enthusiasm for living in and sharing a wilderness environment is a must! The ideal candidate will also have hospitality experience, exceptional customer service skills and an outgoing, friendly attitude.
