About Alta Lodge
"An average powder day here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience anywhere else; and a great Utah powder day, well, it can redefine your life." – Andrew McLean
The Employee Experience
We offer a friendly and respectful living and working environment, terrific food, and good ski time. Employee housing in the Lodge is available on a limited basis. Our employees love Alta Lodge!
We are looking for friendly, energetic people who are committed to excellent guest service and who love to ski or snowboard. We have fun, and we work hard. We prefer (but don’t always require) that you have a college degree, and we usually require that you be 21 or older to work here.
Room and Board
Employee housing in the Lodge is available on a limited basis. Room & Board is $200 per month, and there is a different (lower) pay scale for live-in employees. Living in the Lodge is a great way to avoid driving the Canyon road (often snowy) and enjoy a commute of less than one minute to work.
Lodge employee rooms are shared dorms with shared bathrooms. Employee food is great and includes vegetarian options. Lodge employees always have the option to live in the Lodge (if available) or live out; seasonal housing is usually available to rent in Sandy or Cottonwood Heights.
Great food, great ski time, great people, perfect location; local shops offer our employees discounts on gear, ski tunes etc.; there is also a great local ski swap in December.
Getting Here and Getting Around
We recommend not bringing a car due to Alta's heavy snowfall and limited public parking. This is the employee's decision. For employees not bringing a car, we arrange a shuttle from Salt Lake International Airport, about an hour from Alta. Employees may also ship skis and gear ahead by UPS.
At the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains, Alta is known for its steep terrain, backcountry access, and nearly 550 inches yearly average of the best snow anywhere.
