Our Housekeepers (Housekeeper/Server/Lodge Support) who help in the kitchen and with serving have positions with high guest interaction. When the guest walks into the Lodge or their room, we want them to think ”Wow, this looks wonderful”. It’s all about creating a big impression and exceeding expectations. It is important that you enjoy people and enjoy providing excellent service. It is important that you take pride in all respects of the guest experience by keeping their rooms neat and spotless, assisting with the kitchen and in serving meals to guests. Each Housekeeper’s primary objective is to show our guests such a marvelous time, they will want to return again and again.

Let’s be honest….Working in remote Alaska, in close quarters with other employees/lodge owners, and working long days is really hard. You have to be “on” all the time, especially with guests. You must have a thick skin and be ok with being barked at on a regular basis without taking offense, or falling apart. We expect all of our employees to be willing to pitch in where ever they are needed at any time. This isn’t summer camp where we sing camp songs all day, do crafts, fish for ourselves all the time, and drink and party all night….it just isn’t. It’s a lot of work hard, sleep hard. What will you get for all this hard work? You will meet incredibly interesting people from around the world, you will make some new friends, and have some cool adventures, and in the process you will make a few bucks (Don’t plan on getting rich, this isn’t a get rich quick opportunity, sorry)..... Are you still in?
