Alaska Tales Whale Watching in Juneau is seeking candidates for full time Naturalists for the current 2023 summer season!
SUMMARY
Perform daily tours. Naturalists are responsible for sharing information about the local wildlife with our guests, providing safety information to the guests and assisting with the safe operation of our vessels. Season: Now through mid October. Schedule varies, 5-6 days a week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct safety briefings
- Conduct fun and informative talks for guests about whales and other wildlife of the local area
- Interact with guests and answer questions
- Assist with the safe operation of our vessels
SKILLS
- Excellent customer service
- Capable of working long hours/flexible hours
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Line handling
- Team oriented
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working on boats (preferred)
- Outgoing, positive attitude
- Public speaking
- Subject to pre-employment and/or random drug testing
- Reliable transportation
PAY & BENEFITS:
