We are looking for Dog Handler/Tour Attendants to join our team for the Summer 2019.
Dog Handler Duties: Dog Handlers will maintain guest safety and assist Mushers getting in and out of dog yards with teams. Each Dog Handler is responsible for assisting Mushers in conducting safe tours. Dog Handlers inspect dogs on a daily basis for general health and fitness. Dog Handlers will work throughout the camp to meet the needs of the day. You may be assigned different duties on any given day at the Camp Manager’s discretion.
Tour Attendant Duties: You will be taking action and still shots of guests while they are on their tour and present them with options for purchase before returning to their helicopter. If you have an eye and love for beautiful scenery as a backdrop, candid shots then we're looking for you. In addition to photography you may also be working and caring for the sled dogs, loading and unloading passengers and gear from helicopters, taking and selling photographs and maintaining camp.
- No experience necessary.
- Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification required throughout the season.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Point of hire is Juneau, AK. You must get yourself here.
- Employees live in wall tents.
- Must be available from beginning of May to September 20th 2019.
- Compensation is $2800 a month.
