About Alaska Coach Tours
Alaska Coach Tours is now hiring Driver/Guides for the 2019 cruise ship season (May through September) with positions available in every Alaska division: Juneau, Ketchikan, Sitka, and Skagway. We are also hiring experienced driver/guides in our newest division, Seattle, WA. Each division offers unique characteristics, qualities, and work opportunities. Alaska Coach Tours was formed in 2004 for the purpose of providing ground transportation and tour services for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Regent, Oceania, Un-Cruise and Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic in Southeast Alaska. We operate in Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka, and Skagway during the summer season from May through September. Our company owns and operates approximately 85 motorcoaches in these locations - providing Southeast Alaska with one of the youngest motorcoach fleets available.

In Seattle, our primary operation will be providing transportation for the cruise ships in Seattle and Vancouver, BC. The majority of our drivers' time will be spent doing Sea-Tac airport and hotel pick-ups and drop-offs. We'll also be running the tours that the ships sells, which consist of day trips to Woodinville wine country, the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, and Boeing.

The Employee Experience

These four aspects are an integral part of the Driver Guide position with Alaska Coach Tours.
Room and Board
Alaska Coach Tours DOES offer employee housing for driver/guides in both Alaska and Seattle, WA. There is a flat daily rate deducted from each paycheck if you choose to stay in company housing. This rate covers the monthly rent, electric, trash, water/sewer charges and is about 50% less expensive than if you were to try and find housing on your own.
Please note: there are multiple individuals in each residence and everyone has a roommate.
What is NOT covered in the charge for employee housing is cable/internet service and anything you would normally purchase for your own house such as your basic necessities, groceries, cleaning supplies, sheet/towels etc.
We do provide each house with basic furniture including pots/pans, dishes, single twin beds, couch, dining table.
All employees are eligible for a contract completion bonus with the successful completion of contract at the end of the season.
Driver/guides are eligible for a safety bonus at the successful completion of their contract.
Driver/guides are also provided with a $250 travel bonus, each way, to assist with their travel to/from their division of employment.
Getting Here and Getting Around
It is the employee's responsibility to make their own travel arrangements to/from their division of employment.
Once at the division, it is the employee's responsibility to get themselves to/from work on time.
It is highly recommended that consideration is given to bringing a bike or driving a car up to Alaska. Once in your division, some drivers pull their money to purchase a used car for the summer season to assist with their transportation needs.
Alaska is definitely the land of outdoor fun - whether it is kayaking through the pristine waters, hiking gorgeous trails through the Tongass National Forest or enjoying a softball game under the midnight sun. There is always time to get out and enjoy the natural beauty of this great land - and you should take those opportunities when in Southeast Alaska.
As a tourism employee, you will have the chance to participate in multiple tours throughout the summer. Most operators provide industry rates or space available seating for our employees. Enjoy an afternoon of whale watching, zip line courses, dog sledding, floatplane trips, railroad tours, go karts, helicopter tours, guided hikes, biking tours, river rafting, kayaking, and many other excursions.
