***$17/hr regular wage with $1/hr regular wage end-of-season bonus when contract completed. Supervisors should arrive April 22nd-23rd with an April 24th start date. Contract ends October 7th, 2024. Supervisors receive reduced rate company housing of $150/month. Pets are not allowed in company housing.***

In the Sales Department, the Supervisor is charged with the daily operation of the site retail areas (assayers, snack bar, and gift shop). This position reports directly to the Sales Manager(s) on duty and supports the department and its operation. The Sales Supervisor oversees the daily tasks as executed by the cast and receives daily assignments from the department manager.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Tasked with the daily Sales Department operations including food, beverage, and retail.
  • Charged with opening and closing the sales areas on a daily basis. This includes the cleanliness and maintenance of the sales area on an ongoing basis as well as supervising the end-of-the-day cleaning of all facilities.
  • Operates and supervises the daily operation of the gold weighing, marketing of retail items, and sales transactions.
  • Assists the Sales Manager(s) on duty in all short-term and long-term tasks as delegated.
  • Supervises individuals and multiple cast members.
  • Aids in the sales training of the AK360 cast members.
  • Works alongside the Sales Manager(s) on duty in daily/weekly tasks.
  • Supports the Sales Manager(s) on duty in monitoring stock levels and purchases to avoid shortages / high inventory costs.
  • Supports the Sales Manager(s) on duty in setting up the sales areas for operations at the start of the season and during the close-down at the end of the season.

Educational Background

  • High School Diploma required or education equivalent (GED)
  • Associates or Higher, or Certifications helpful

Professional Experience

  • 1+ Years of experience in sales or retail or in other supervisory position
  • Knowledge of retail management best practices
  • Experience in hospitality, or tourism a plus
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale software
