    We are searching for friendly and entertaining individuals to join the Cape Fox Tours team as CDL Driver Guides for the upcoming summer season. Explore the wonders of Ketchikan, Alaska from the comfort of your own motorcoach as you transfer cruise line guests to their designated tour venue locations and cruise ships. CDL Driver Guides must present a professional manner while safely transporting guests and sharing educational details and stories on tour. If you enjoy the great outdoors, love adventure, and want to create long-lasting unforgettable memories for you and guests, then join our team today.

    Duties Include:

    • Safely providing guest transportation utilizing excellent customer service
    • Routinely drives a motorcoach and provides narrated tours in vehicle and at select tour venues
    • Direct and assist passenger movement between cruise ships and tour vehicles
    • Collect tickets and provide tour itinerary to guests
    • Maintain reports of passenger counts and driving routes
    • Maintain reports of daily mileage, fuel log, and hours
    • Performs inspections on vehicles and basic mechanical duties
    • Must ensure vehicle is always clean
    • Communicate with dock staff, cruise line partners, and tour venue staff
    • Report all accidents, injuries, unsafe working conditions, and damages
    • Must be knowledgeable of surrounding area and be able to find places and make stops in a reasonable timely manner
    • Must follow all state laws while operating vehicles and ensure all pertinent insurance and other driving related documents are up to date and visible

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in positions involving customer service or tourism is preferred
    • A valid CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements
    • A valid DOT med card
    • Motor Vehicle Record from the state of the driver's current license going back 3 years 
    • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and join the monthly Random Consortium 
    • Minimum age of 21 is required
    • Ability to regularly lift anywhere between 5-100 lbs.
    • Regularly required to use hands, arms, sit, stand, walk, kneel, crouch etc.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent personal hygiene
    • Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
    • Must possess excellent customer service skills
    • Must be free from influence of drugs and alcohol
    • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

  • Dock Representative

    Cape Fox Tours is seeking a friendly and customer service-oriented Dock Representative to greet and provide introductory tour information to the guests that arrive on cruise ships. This is an awesome opportunity to gain experience in tourism as it relates to the cruise line operations in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are willing to train the right candidates so long as they have great communication skills, are self-motivated, reliable and enjoy engaging with guests from all over the world.

    Duties Include:

    • Provide personable and friendly interaction with tour guests
    • Exhibit professional communication skills with cruise ship staff, partners, and guests
    • Possess knowledge of Company Policies and Procedures
    • Cheerfully share knowledge of local environment and Cultural history, practices, and today’s lifestyle
    • Company liaison to shore excursion staff, assisting with sales and logistics. This includes working with bus companies and ship staff to ensure that the passenger’s special needs are met
    • Direct and assist passenger movement between cruise ships and tour busses
    • Collect all tickets/vouchers as the passengers’ board motor coaches
    • Conduct settlement transactions with cruise line representatives. These settlements must be turned in every day at the end of your shift
    • Assist with the distribution of promotional tour materials (brochures/rack cards)
    • Maintain periodic reports of passenger counts and daily sales
    • Work with drivers to assist passengers in the boarding process and brief passengers about their excursion details
    • Complete all related paperwork after each departure in an accurate, timely and consistent manner
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Physical stamina to perform work duties for several hours and in outdoor weather conditions
    • Ability to work under pressure, handle stress and deliver professional results
    • Long hours and weekends may be required pending tour schedule, must be flexible
    • Must be able work with difficult customers/guests in a professional manner
    • Previous experience in tourism is desired but not required
    • Must have good communication skills and able to communicate information on cultural subject matter
    • Must have adequate knowledge of local environment and cultural history, practices, and lifestyle of today

    Cape Fox Tours is seeking a friendly, go getting and customer service-oriented Sales Representative to actively sell tours and provide customer service for guests who are booked independently. This person must be proactive and personable with guest. Able to provide information on various tours and transportation throughout the day. This will be and hourly based pay with additional commission based on sales. If you are looking for a face paced work environment this could be the job for you.

    Cape Fox Tours is seeking friendly and customer service-oriented Servers to help with different tours throughout the summer. Servers will be responsible for providing an enjoyable experience for the guests while providing a tour narration during the service. They engage in friendly conversation with their tables to make them feel comfortable and provide a hospitable environment, delivering food and beverages throughout the tour at appropriate times and maintaining cleanliness throughout the work environment.

     

    Duties Include

    • Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages 
    • Serve food or beverages to patrons and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required using a serving tray and tray stand 
    • Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaning 
    • Answer any questions regarding the meal portion of the tour
    • Clean tables and other surfaces after patrons have left and reset them for the next tour
    • Be able to pour both Beer and Wine and deliver them to patrons in a timely manner
    • Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware 
    • Perform food preparation duties such as preparing plates for guests in advance with the chef.
    • Clean and maintain areas and items in the restaurant, bar, and tables
    • Perform additional duties as assigned 

    Requirements: 

    • Customer-oriented, friendly, and energetic 
    • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task 
    • Food Handlers Certification  
    • TAPS Certification 
    • Must be legally able to serve alcohol 
    • High school diploma or equivalent 
    • Prior work experience is a plus

    Cape Fox Tours is seeking an enthusiastic and professional Tour Host to welcome all guests and assist with their needs pertaining to the tour through Saxman. Duties will include keeping the tour site free of litter, assisting in tour flow, conducting public presentations, and performing other duties as assigned. The Tour Host should have knowledge of commonly used Company concepts, practices, and procedures within the organization. Training will be provided. The Tour Host will follow instructions and pre-established, commonly known guidelines provided to perform the functions of the position.
