Staff Activities Participating in staff activities at EPC is a great way to meet other staff members, travel to various areas of Colorado, and have fun! Activities may be free or discounted. Transportation to events is provided and we are often able to obtain group rates for ticket purchases. In addition, EPC contributes at least $5 toward the price of each ticket. Staff activities are another benefit provided by EPC. The Residence Staff plans on-ground and off-ground events. Past activities:

Want to ski free? We purchase corporate ski passes for staff to use at Eldora ski area. Backcountry skiing is available at Rocky Mountain National Park, along with cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
Complimentary accommodations! For every full month you are scheduled to work here, you receive a FREE night in the guest lodges for yourself or anyone you choose, up to 7 per year. Complimentary accommodations may be used at Estes Park Center or Snow Mountain Ranch. Certain restrictions and blackout dates apply.
CA$H your paychecks on grounds for FREE! Paydays are every two weeks, on Fridays. How much will I make? On-grounds seasonal staff receive a weekly wage of $155 for a 40 hour work week which includes housing and meals. Overtime is paid for any hours worked over 40 per week or over 12 hours per day. Employees who complete their work agreements will receive a portion of the Appreciation Fund. The appreciation fund is paid out three times per year, usually in April, September and December. Direct Deposit is available for paychecks. Stay in touch with family and friends. Computers with Internet access are available for staff to use. We have a staff recreation hall with a pool table, foosball table, satellite TV and VCR and air hockey. Staff receives FREE use of EPC facilities including tennis, swimming pool, nautilus weight room, skating rink, basketball and volleyball courts and mini-golf. EPC's Library contains over 15,000 volumes including current bestsellers, old favorites and many titles about Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer, the program department offers guided hikes in RMNP and the surrounding area. Staff may participate at no charge on a space available basis. Snowshoe hikes are available in t he winter. Snowshoe rentals are also available to the staff free of charge. Linen is provided for staff living on grounds; it must be returned in satisfactory condition upon departure. Used linen may be exchanged for clean at the commercial laundry. | Transportation to EPC All employees are responsible for making their own transportation arrangements to and from Estes Park Center. EPC is located four miles west of the town of Estes Park. A shuttle runs to Estes Park from Denver International Airport. For additional Information, call 970-586-5151.
Dress Code & Grooming Standards All employees must maintain a neat, conservative and well-groomed appearance. Jewelry for men and women must be conservative. Items such as nose-rings, eyebrow-rings and tongue piercing are not acceptable. Male employees' hair must be conservative, neat, clean and a natural color. hair should not extend below the rear bottom of a standard dress shirt collar and must not protrude into the face. If hair is longer, it must be pulled neatly back and worn in a pony tail ~ however, there are positions which do not allow ponytails, for safety and healthy reasons. facial hair is limited to sideburns, neatly trimmed moustaches, beards and goatees. Female employees' hair must be neat, clean, conservative and of a natural color. For all employees: visible and/or offensive tattoos are not permitted. Shoes needed will depend on department assigned to. Shorts may be permitted as part of the uniform, but must be thigh length or longer. YMCA Staff Shirts are preferred, all other shirts and/or t-shirts need to be clean, neat and should not contain offensive writing and/or graphics. Work Hours and Schedules Work schedules vary by department, but are 5-day, 40 hour per week positions. Overtime may be required/available depending on guest needs. Seasonal Staff Housing and Meals housing and meals are provided for seasonal employees. Howard, Hogue, Hallets, Pioneer, Fern-Odessa and Fairchild Lodges provide housing for over 400 seasonal staff members. Howard and Hague: each building contains 50 rooms with private toilets and sinks. Central showers. Rooms house 2-3 people. Halletts: 35 rooms provide in this co-ed housing. Central bathroom and showers. Summer only. Pioneer: 39 small rooms for senior female staff. Each two rooms shares private toilet. Central showers. Summer only. Fern-Odessa: 50 small single rooms for females over 21. Each two rooms share private toilet. Central showers. Summer only. Fairchild: 10 rooms with full bathrooms for married couples. Spring, summer and fall only. We attempt to accommodate housing requests, but due to the limited spaces, may not be able to fulfill requests. |
