Winslow's Tavern is an acclaimed 160 seat restaurant housed in a beautiful and historic Federalist building in downtown, scenic Wellfleet on Cape Cod. Our seasonal upscale bistro menu is heavily influenced by Mediterranean and coastal cuisines with an emphasis on local seafood and innovative seasonal specials. Esteemed food and travel guides such as Zagat's, Fodor's, Frommer's, Time Out Boston and Cape Cod Life have all raved about Winslow's.
Managed by a husband and wife team, Phillip and Tracey Hunt, the kitchen is staffed with highly skilled chefs and cooks who thrive on collaboration & camaraderie, a fast pace and high volume. We are looking to hire energetic and ambitious Lead Line Cooks for the 2013 season which runs from the beginning of May to the third week of October.
Responsibilities for the lead line cook may include any of the following tasks: working the line during either lunch and/or dinner service on any of the kitchen stations - grill, saute or garde manger wherever needed. Assisting with daily kitchen prep work and station set-up prior to service and maintaining the highest quality food preparation standards with the Executive Chef, Phillip Hunt. Our line cooks must be able to work as part of a team and be able to handle high volume and a fast pace with a fine attention to detail.
