Seasonal Professional - Ranch Head Cook/Chef

Enjoy a new adventure cooking on a mountain front guest ranch this summer!  We're looking for a mature, outgoing cook/chef with experience, a ready smile, willingness to work hard and have fun, and a love of the outdoors and people to provide our guests a delightful wilderness experience.

As a part of our great team, the Ranch Head Cook/Chef supervises all activities associated with kitchen operations and will supervise a staff of 2-4. Responsibilities include: preparation of hearty western lunch and dinner for 30-40 hungry guests and staff with pleasing presentation; managing food and inventory supplies; proper storage of leftover items; maintaining a clean, safe kitchen atmosphere. Professional cooking experience preferred, but will consider candidates who are talented cooks with real experience. Must have excellent communication skills and maintain a positive attitude in all sorts of situations. We promote an open, light hearted, fun atmosphere and don’t like drama!

We’re a small family owned ranch and our primary objective is exceptional care of our guests. The ranch is a long distance from town so must be able to enjoy a quiet, rural setting.  Must be able to follow ranch signature recipes to provide exceptional “western gourmet” ranch style meals – looking for a great cook vs. country club chef.

We pay a monthly salary based on experience, gratuities, room and board. Cook has private housing and works ½ day Sunday through Friday dinner. Position is available June through September. We encourage employees to participate in activities and recreate in the beautiful surroundings.
