The Goldpanner
Spend the Summer in Wild Alaska Gold Mining Country
In the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, Chicken, Alaska was established with the discovery of gold in 1886. One of the few remaining gold rush towns, once boasting a population of 400, Chicken today has 5 year round residents. Summer brings tourists traveling the Top of the World Highway to Canada and miners who still prospect in the Forty Mile. Surrounded by wilderness, it's an ideal place for hiking, fishing and hunting.
