Taylor Park is nestled near the top of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 9400 feet. The Taylor Park Trading Post is located 1/2 mile from the east shore of Taylor Reservoir and abounds with magnificent views of the Sawatche Range. The area around the resort is ideal for camping, hiking, motorcycling and ATV-ing, fishing, hunting, photography, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Taylor Park is an excellent place to come to relax in the great outdoors and enjoy any outdoor recreation.

Taylor Park Trading Post, Inc. includes a General Store, Gift Shop, Rental Cabins, Full hook-up RV sites & Restaurant. The general store offers a variety of convenience items (i.e. groceries, ice, gas, air, water...) as well as all the necessary camping supplies, fishing tackle, and other miscellaneous items needed to enjoy all the recreational activities in the area.. All of our rental cabins have basic kitchenettes, bathrooms, and come with all the bedding and linen. For all the unfortunate friends and relatives you had to leave back home, our Gift Shop offers all the mountain memorabilia necessary to let you get something for everyone. The Nugget Cafe offers a diverse menu with all the necessary good, old-fashion, down-home cooking to keep all the wives, bachelors, & back woods enthusiasts from having to waste any precious vacation time cooking.

Our Ideal Candidate

Taylor Park Trading Post, is an equal opportunity employer offering seasonal employment from the middle of May through the end of September. Seasonal positions are available in the Cabins, Store, and Restaurant. Housekeeping positions run early May through October.

We are a family owned and operated organization. Teamwork attitude is a necessity. Successful candidates understand the idea of working when you work, and playing when you play. Preference will be given to individiuals who can stay the whole season. We depend on you.

Room and Board

Individuals are placed in housing around the property free of charge. We have apartments above the cafe and a separate bunkhouse with shared living spaces. Employees are placed two to a room.

Shared kitchens are provided, and you are responsible for making your own food.

Shift meals are provided for cafe workers only.

If you have your own RV, we have full hookup RV sites. Ask about details.

Because of the shared living spaces, cooperation is appreciated.

Getting Here and Getting Around

The Taylor Park Trading Post is located 34 miles northeast of Gunnison, Colorado. We are 38 miles west of Buena Vista by way of Cottonwood Pass, CR-209, and east of Taylor Reservoir at the junction of CR-742 & CR-765.
