Attention Business and Hospitality Majors, The Internship at Spokane Creek Cabins & Campground is now accepting applications from female students for the 2017 summer season (typically May to August/September). We are located 11 miles from Mt. Rushmore and 1 mile from Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota. If you enjoy the outdoors you will enjoy the Black Hills, where wildlife is abundant and hiking & scenery are spectacular.
The Internship at Spokane Creek offers an outstanding opportunity to work in a busy, family oriented hospitality environment. We are a full service facility with 19 cabins, 60 RV & tent sites, café, and home to The Iron Mountain Road Store. You will be trained and work in multiple areas of the business which include office, retail sales, café, reservations, housekeeping and grounds. Also, as part of your summer experience, you will be taught a full array of business fundamentals not covered in your college classroom.
Compensation is $9.00 an hour plus housing – you provide food. Housing is dorm style with access to kitchen and laundry facilities. Benefits include working in one of the most beautiful areas in the country, VIP passes for free admission to most area attractions, discounts in the store & café, free laundry and wifi.
This is an excellent opportunity for Jr. & Sr. level students in the Business or Hospitality field to gain real world experience and learn business fundamentals from business professionals that will better position you for your future. This program may apply toward college hours, check with your school to find out.
