     (go for FREE with Mad River!)

Recreation

There are endless hiking trails throughout the area, boating/canoeing on Jackson Lake, and plenty of mountain biking available within a short driving distance from the park. There is great fishing on Jackson Lake and the Snake River. The Jackson Hole area is known for its magnificent rock climbing, backpacking, white-water rafting, horseback riding, and kayaking. Signal Mountain has a volleyball court, basketball hoop, horseshoes and tetherball in the dorm area. A softball team is organized during the summer. The town of Jackson offers some great shops and restaurants. There is a public library in town which issues temporary cards to seasonal employees. Signal Mountain Lodge also provides FREE use of computers and has internet access for staff. There is free wireless internet in the dormitories as well. We also host and organize several outings and events for staff throughout the season.

Signal Mountain Lodge is proud to maintain great relationships with many local vendors and outfitters in the Jackson Hole area. Because of this Signal Mountain Staff are frequently offered substantial discounts on local attractions such as white water rafting and horseback riding. In addition Signal Mountain Lodge also offers a variety of spectacular discounts to staff, all over property. Included are; excellent discounts in both gift stores and the convenience store, there are great discounts for staff in both of the Signal Mountain Restaurants as well as Leek’s Pizzeria. There are also free scenic river float trips on the Snake River, and free canoe and kayak rentals from our Marina on Jackson Lake!
