JOB PROFILE:

Ensure that our team members are given the proper support and direction so that they may provide quality service to our guests during their dining experience through proper service standards, well prepared and well served cocktails, food and wine.
                
SKILLS AND Qualifications:
               
1.       Able to communicate effectively with and receive information from guests and team members
2.       Able to listen to a guest, team member and determine what is needed  
3.       Able to quickly assess a situation, determine priorities, create a strategy and implement it
4.       Ability to multi-task
5.       Highly organized, detail oriented
6.       Excellent customer service skills required
7.       Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques in order to perform the essential functions of the job
8.       Ability to train on basic functions of POS system
9.       Ability to correct tickets on POS system
10.   Ability to follow correct protocol with ticket errors
11.   Ability to quickly assess a potential crisis situation between associates, between guest and associate, between guest and guest and be able to diffuse
12.   Basic knowledge of liquors, their makeup, history, and flavor profile
13.   Basic knowledge of cocktails, their preparation & service
14.   Basic cocktail mixers, and the ability to prepare them to our standards
15.   Lifting supplies or equipment of thirty (30) pounds or more
16.   Able to count, read and write in the English language
17.   Have excellent cash handling skills
18.   Functional knowledge of food preparation techniques
 
Desirable:
  1. A sense of Maturity & Leadership
  2. The ability to functionally multitask with speed and grace
  3. 5 years in the Food and Beverage/hospitality Industry
  4. Time spent in both front of the house and back of the house positions, as well as bartending
  5. Basic Computer skills in Excel and Word, keyboarding
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Greet guests, Take care of guests, create an enjoyable first impression
  2. Support of team members through the ability to recognize and act on strengths and weaknesses, implement a strategies with manager to train for areas that need to be addressed, and remembering to praise for a job well done.
  3. Be sensitive to the guest experience by paying attention to physical details (cleanliness, temperature, music volume, crispness of presentation, etc.)
  4. Lead your team into successful shifts of high guest satisfaction by giving them the tools and the training to be effective
  5. A complete understanding of each of the service staff’s responsibilities and a working understanding of how they perform their job duties: taking orders, bussing tables, running room service, hosting the door, etc. 
  6. Anticipate guests’ needs and provide appropriate service
  7. Know Shore Lodge’s history
  8. Know McCall and the surrounding area well enough to help familiarize out of town guests with our local offerings             
 SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: 
  1. Assist other team members as needed
  2. Provide coverage as necessary for any shift needed
  3. Training, and developing associates
  4. All other duties as assigned
