The Mount Rushmore Gift Shop is just one place you may be assigned to work. Guests can find the perfect gift or souvenir, or browse our specialty items, including handmade Native American pottery and artwork, Mount Rushmore apparel, books and DVD's, sandstone Mount Rushmore replicas or, choose from our selection of beautiful Black Hills Gold.

 
 

All employees must be willing to perform assigned duties and accept a change in and/or additional duties as required by operating conditions. 

FOOD DEPARTMENT:

COOK II: Assists cooks in food preparation, organizes food items required for shift and maintains sanitation standards. Heavy lifting and previous cooking experience required. (Minimum $8.25 per hour)

FOOD ATTENDANT: Responsible for any of the following: food preparation, cafeteria / fast food operation, dish / pot machine operation and/or maintain sanitation standards in kitchen, dining room and/or snack bar. Heavy lifting required. (Minimum $7.25 per hour)

GIFT SHOP DEPARTMENT:


GIFT SHOP ATTENDANTS: Responsible for extensive guest contact and the following; retail sales, cash handling, department maintenance, completing reports, ability to acquire and use product information, assisting with inventory, receiving, marking, packing and distributing merchandise. Heavy lifting and long periods of standing required. (Minimum $7.25 per hour)

CUSTODIAL DEPARTMENT:


GENERAL CUSTODIAL: Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of both the Memorial View Building and dormitory. Extensive janitorial duties involved. Heavy lifting required. (Minimum $7.25 per hour)

ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT:


ACCOUNTING/AUDIT CLERK: Assists with Accounting function. Balances cashier reports and compiles daily reports. Keypunching, basic office and computer skills and 10-key experience required. ($7.25 per hour)

DRIVERS:

Good driving record necessary, some heavy lifting required. (Minimum $7.25 per hour)

SECURITY:


SECURITY GUARD
: Minimum age 21. Responsible for overseeing concession building and dormitory, and for reporting unacceptable practices to the National Park Service. (Minimum $8.25 per hour)
