The Winnetu Oceanside Resort is easily accessible to the finest shops and restaurants in Edgartown. Just a short walking/jogging/biking path, taxi, shuttle bus ride or sunset water taxi cruise away from Main Street. Our guests may round out their New England vacation by visiting our property as well as taking advantage of its proximity to Cape Cod and Nantucket.

Recreation

With miles of beautiful beaches to enjoy, the Vineyard offers a wide range of activities including kayaking, hiking, sailing, fishing, golf, plane sightseeing, tours and horseback riding. The resort has a limited number of shared, furnished subsidized housing opportunities. These are located in the Edgartown/Katama area. The employee contribution ranges from $95 - $150 weekly, including basic utilities.

Most of our staff find seasonal housing through the online editions of the Martha's Vineyard Times or Gazette. The Chamber of Commerce web site, maintains an excellent listing of seasonal rental & shared housing opportunities. Our staff is happy to advise you in your search and coordinate with roommate referrals.

Benefits

Wages vary with each position; many include excellent tip potential. Minimum wage in Massachusetts is $8 hourly. We also offer employee meal & resort discounts. Employee uniforms specific to a department are provided at no additional fee. alt text

Transportation Info

The Vineyard can be reached only by ferry or air, which means you must plan your trip in advance - particularly if you intend to bring your car. If traveling with a vehicle, you must travel by ferry from Wood's Hole (located near Falmouth at the 'heel' of Cape Cod) via the Steamship Authority. Bus and limousine connection information is available on the ferry website. Passenger ferries are also available from Hyannis, MA, Falmouth, MA, Quonset Point, RI and New Bedford, MA.

Cape Air Express offers regular airline connections from Providence's T.F. Green Airport and Boston's Logan Airport.

While on the island, cars are not a necessity given the Vineyard's excellent public transportation system and bicycle paths. You can bring your own bike or purchase second hand bikes from one of the local shops.
