Taos Ski Valley

Taos Ski Valley is one of the few remaining resorts that is still owned and operated by the original founding family. Ernie Blake began realizing his dream of building a ski area in 1955 History of Taos Ski Valley. Today his children and grandchildren are continuing and building upon his legacy. On March 19, 2008 we opened our slopes to snowboarding for the first time in our history.

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. does not offer employee housing, nor are we able to assist employees in their search for housing. However, we have provided the following links to help you in your search. It is quite possible to find affordable housing in town which is close to transportation, shops, and restaurants. During ski season you can take the Chili Line bus from town to work for free if you show your Taos Ski Valley Staff ID card.

  • Google Discussion Group, a good way to network with other employees seeking housing and roommates. There are also occasional houses listed for rent on this page.

Transportation Info

Transportation Options: Drive/Fly/Shuttle Bus The Chile Line is the public transportation system from the Town of Taos to Taos Ski Valley. The shuttle runs several times per day.

Frequent daily and weekend shuttle bus service operates between the Albuquerque airport, Taos and Taos Ski Valley. Travel time is approximately three hours.
