The 63 Ranch history dates from 1863 (hence its name). In 1982 it was the first dude ranch in Montana declared a National Historic Site. Our family has owned and operated The 63 continuously since 1929.

The ranch sits at 5600 feet altitude below Elephant Head Mountain., 50 miles north of Yellowstone National Park, 12 miles from Livingston, Montana. Our ranch borders immense Gallatin National Forest, straddles Mission Creek Canyon, meets the craggy peaks of the Absaroka Mountains and rolls across grassy hills, rimrock ridges and sagebrush benches above the Yellowstone River. We think it's the prettiest country in the West. You will too.
Our capacity of 30 guests becomes your and our friends within a few days and return year after year to become part of our extended family. We strive for the best and look for a crew who can help us provide this. If you are genuinely friendly and not afraid of work and can get along with all kinds of people, you may be the person we are looking for.
Our location offers a lot of outdoor adventures: sightseeing - we're only 50 miles from Yellowstone National Park, hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, fishing. If you have a car, you can also go to Livingston (12 miles from the ranch or Bozeman, MT. (40 miles from the ranch) Both towns have great summer festivals and outdoor music throughout the summer.

If you are a retired couple, you will have your own cabin with bath. Other older crew members who are single share a separate cabin with bath.
If you're college age, you'll be housed in our bunkhouse with 3 baths and 5 bedrooms and living room. Depending on the number of younger crew members, it sometimes works out that you may have your own room.
Employees have their own dining room but eat the same food as the our guests.
$800/month plus full board and room. End of season bonus based on performance.
