Seasonal Jobs at the Riverbanks Zoo


Since April of 1974 Riverbanks Zoo has been home to more than 2000 animals in natural habitats. In June of 1995 Riverbanks opened the 70-acre Botanical Garden with access to its historic ruins. 

Along with the experience of seeing our animals Riverbanks Zoo also features Bird Flight Demonstration, Diving Demonstrations, Penguin Feeding, Elephant Training Sessions, and a 3-D movie theatre.

ARAMARK Parks and Destinations provide the Riverbanks Zoo with concessions, event planning, premium dining needs, catering and on-site restaurants.


We are committed to delivering remarkable guest service and providing a fun environment for our team members.

If you are traveling from:

Charlotte/Rock Hill

Take I-77 S to Exit 18, I-277 for about 1 mile. Exit I-20 W. Continue 8 miles to Exit 64A. Merge to one of 3 left lanes on I-126 E (Columbia/downtown). Exit Greystone Blvd. Turn left off ramp and follow signs.

Myrtle Beach/Florence

Take I-20 West to Exit 64-A. Move to inside three lanes to travel on I-126 (76). Exit Greystone Blvd./Riverbanks Zoo. Follow signs.

Charleston/Orangeburg

Take I-26 West to Columbia (Exit 108). Follow I-126 (76) to Greystone Blvd./Riverbanks Zoo. Follow signs.

Riverbanks Zoo is home to several historic landmarks.  Since 1973 Riverbanks Zoo has been on the list of National Register of Historic Places.  The 170-acre site has history that is dated back to the early 1800’s with the Civil War and textile industries.  Riverbank has three main historical places for visitors to explore; they include the covered bridge, the Saluda River Factory Interpretive Center, and the Saluda River Factory Ruins.
