Calling All College Students! An Adventure Awaits You In Jackson Hole

The Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole is looking to hire 12 - 14 college students from all over the United States to work within our children and youth summer programs.

The programs would include a day camp held on the church’s campus for preschool through high school students, youth events for Middle School and High School, Sunday morning services, and possibly some 5-day camps at a ranch located 90 miles outside of Jackson.

Each college student would have a different ministry in which they would serve and would be required to work 45-50 hours a week.

Room and Board

Housing options: Shared Condo

All interns will be living in Intern Housing. Intern Housing consists of 4 two-bedroom apartment units all located in one complex. Two units will be reserved for the guys…. two for the girls. In addition to the 2 furnished bedrooms, each unit has a living/dining area, a kitchen, one bathroom and a washer and dryer.

All Interns will need to collaborate as a total group or as individuals for meal planning and preparation. One meal a week will be served at the Director’s house for a weekly staff meeting, at times various parishioners may invite the Interns to be guests at their residences for meals. Outside of those occasions, the cost and preparation of meals will need to be the responsibility of the Intern.

Transportation Info

All Interns will be required to arrive in Jackson by May 30th. Training and meetings begin on Saturday, May 31st. Interns can arrive anytime during the week or two before the official start date if they would like to come and “play” before work begins. The ideal schedule would be for Interns to be able to stay through August 29th.

Jackson has an airport with service offered by most major airlines, but is an expensive airport to fly into. Idaho Falls Airport is a 1 hour and 45 minute drive away and Salt Lake City, which tends to be cheapest, is a 4 and a half hour (or 20 hour…. ) drive with a daily shuttle service to Jackson if you arrive in SLC before noon. Interns are welcome to bring their own vehicles to Jackson for the summer. There are 8 parking places at the apartment unit. There will also be the use of the church vehicles creatively known as the “brown van” and the “white van.” There is also a public bus system in Jackson with a stop one block from the apartments which are located in the heart of the town of Jackson.

How to Apply

Training and pay for Counselors begins on Saturday, May 31st. Ministries with Children & Youth begin on Monday, June 16th and ends on August 29th (We understand some Counselors will need to leave earlier in Aug).
