Immerse yourself in Glacier National Park

“The crown of the continent” aptly describes this jewel of the Rocky Mountains, that we call Glacier National Park. The Park Café is located at the east entrance to Glacier where the impressive peaks beckon from the west and the prairie unfolds to the east.

Our business includes the Park Café, Park Gift Store, convenience store and gas station. We are known for our friendly and personal style, our homemade food and pies, and family-like atmosphere. Each year we hire over 40 people for all or part of the season. We welcome many returning staff each summer. Our goal is to provide a fun, flexible and fair environment. In return, we expect hard work from all employees. Our season is from May 20 –September 30.

Recreation

St. Mary is the east end of the scenic "Going to the Sun Road", which winds its way over the Continental Divide and through the Park. Glacier is famous for its spectacular mountains, high alpine meadows, glacial valleys, lakes and wildlife. This vast wilderness offers fantastic hiking, backpacking, bicycling, rafting, fishing and climbing, as well as opportunities for solitude.

Room and Board

Housing options: Shared Room

Housing is available on-premise for all employees. Some will share a room with another individual. All housing is non-smoking. There are no scheduled meal hours. During business hours, employees may order meals from the kitchen or prepare food in the employee kitchen located behind the café. Cooking is not allowed in the living areas. There is a charge for room and board. The cost is dependent on the number of years worked.

Benefits

Not only is the Park Café located adjacent to Glacier National Park, but we have great food to keep you going while exploring in the Park. Employees enjoy a 30% discount in our gift store. Oh and you get paid too. Positions start at $6.55/hr. Tips are shared. Everyone has 2 days off per week. Employees can make schedule requests. Our goal is to provide you with time to enjoy the park when and with whom you choose.

Transportation Info

St. Mary is on Highway 89—this hwy is a major north/south road within the US. We are just 18 miles south of the Canadian border. You can certainly drive to St. Mary, but we will also provide transport from the airport in Kalispell, the Amtrak Station in East Glacier or even a bus in Whitefish or Shelby.
