Ocean Reef Club has grown to be one of the largest employers in Monroe County, with a year-round staff of 600 Associates and hundreds of additional Associates during the winter season. For Fun

The Village's offerings include a basketball court, a volleyball court, an Associate Fitness Center and a pool. A 24-hour laundry facility is located on the ground floor of CQ and inside CPQ. The cost to operate the machines is $1. Pay phones and drink machines are located either in or by each building. VCR's, videos, board games, court balls, bikes, videos and vacuums are available free of charge for check out from the Housing Office.

Enjoy John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first undersea park in the U.S. Other local attractions include Dolphins Plus, Theater of the Sea, The History of Diving Museum, Everglades Alligator Farm, Coral Castle and more.

Sleep and Eat

Shared accommodations for our seasonal Associates are located in two three-story dormitory style buildings. The Crew's Quarters (CQ) is an open building with stairwells on either side. CQ rooms are air conditioned and furnished with two full-size beds, dressers, televisions, open closets and a private bath. These rooms are offered at the weekly rate of $75. A limited number of CQ rooms are furnished with 3 twin bunk beds and offered at the weekly rate of $50.

The Crew's Private Quarters (CPQ), which opened in December 2007, is an enclosed, elevator accessible, non-smoking building with ten suites on each floor. Each Suite consists of four private rooms, two full baths and a common area furnished with a couch, chairs and coffee table along with a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink and cabinets. Each bedroom has twin x-long captain beds, a desk and chair, bulletin board, 19” flat screen television and a full closet. The weekly rate in CPQ is $105 per week.

Efficiency, one-bedroom and two-bedroom cottages are available to managers who have on-call responsibilities, on a space available basis.

The Village offers several dining options. Meals are served in the Associate Cafeteria from 7 a.m.-10 a.m. and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. The Wreck Hall, our Associate Lounge, offers a menu starting at 6 p.m. and has several flat screen televisions, games, darts, pool tables and a jukebox. These outlets accept cash and Ocean Reef Club food coupons as payment. Sixty-dollar food and beverage coupon books sell for $30 and are one monthly option for seasonal and year-round Ocean Reef Associates. Another outlet, Reef Hut, located at the base of the CQ building, specializes in hand-tossed pizza and grilled items, and accepts cash only. All of these food outlets offer indoor and outdoor dining.
