Kirkwood is about 45 minutes south east of South Lake Tahoe, surrounded by Wilderness and the Eldorado National Forest. Scenic Hwy 88 brings you to the doorstep of the resort where you can see the magnificence of the resort unfold as you turn the corner into the valley.

South Lake Tahoe is like any other large town with many housing options available. You can choose to live in a condo, house or weekly rental hotel room, all are available in South Lake. Gardnerville/Minden Nevada, is also close by. A little more quiet and rural than South Lake Tahoe, these towns still offer plenty to do and see. You may find a rental property there at a cheaper price than South Lake Tahoe. Many of our employees live there and enjoy getting away from the snow and the tourists when not at work.
