We are looking to hire enthusiastic folks who love working with children in an outdoor environment. We are currently accepting applications for counselors and certified lifeguards.
Located on the shores of Watts Bar Lake, John Knox Center provides a unique and natural setting for people to get away from the stress of everyday life and experience a time of Sabbath. Surrounded by God's creation, children and adults have abundant opportunities to grow and learn. Established in 1960, thousands consider camp their home away from home.

John Knox Center is also the home of the River Ridge Environmental Education Program. Established in 1994, River Ridge is a top education facility offering hands on programs for a variety of grade levels and sizes.

CJK is locate in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, one hour from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Opportunities for rafting, hiking, climbing, kayking, canoeing, caving, and much more surround our area.
“Summer Camp ROCKS at John Knox!”
Staff live in lakefront cabins on Watts Bar Lake (the Tennessee River). Laundry facilities on-site. Three delicious family-style meals served in Dining Hall.

Wages are $165/wk plus lake front housing, great meals while on duty, most weekends off, and a six day break at July 4th. Two hour break each day.
We provide an airport/bus shuttle to/from camp to the (Knoxville) McGee-Tyson Airport or Knoxville Grayhound station.
