As they are private residences, you have kitchen facilities. They vary from approximately 2-4 miles from the hotels. The local grocery store is centrally located between the homes and the hotels.
The hotels subsidize the cost of the housing. The employee contribution is $110 weekly, including heat, electric and trash removal. We provide the essential items in the house: utensils, pots and pans, etc. We also provide basic bedding: sheets, a blanket and pillow.
We also have a limited amount of housing, dorm-style, located on the Kelley House property. They range from 2-5 people per room, bunk-style, depending on the size of the room. There are limited kitchen facilities for staff in the on-property housing, but there is a microwave provided in every room. The hotels subsidize the cost of the housing. You may also make arrangements for your own housing.

Wages vary with each position. Time and one-half is paid for all overtime worked. Please ask about the rate of pay for the position you are interested in. Minimum wage is $8.00 per hour in Massachusetts. Most of our positions are bonused, if you work to your agreed end dates.
One meal is provided at no charge for each shift worked. Uniforms are provided at no cost for employees. We also have available a computer in the employee cafeteria which you are able to use when you are not on duty. The public library is located between the two properties, and has computers available for public usage.
You have the ability to experience a beautiful vacation resort area while earning great money for the season.
If you are traveling by car, you need to go to Woods Hole to board the ferry. Woods Hole is adjacent to Falmouth on the “heel” of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Information and schedules are available at the Steamship Authority website. There are ferries available out of Quonset Point and out of New Bedford, MA. There are also passenger ferries out of Hyannis, MA and Falmouth, MA.
It is also easy to arrive by bus. The Peter Pan bus lines have a stop in Woods Hole, MA (the bus stop is the Steamship Authority ferry terminal). You then purchase your ferry tickets ($7.00 one-way) and board the ferry to either one of two ports on Martha’s Vineyard.
Once you arrive, you should come to the hotel. Those of you who are in employee housing will receive their housing assignments.
While on the Island, biking is a popular form of transportation. There are bike routes throughout most of the island on the major routes. There is public transportation, both cabs and buses. You can bring your own bike, or purchase second hand bikes from the local bicycle shops. Wal-Mart, another popular spot to purchase bikes, is just a short ferry ride to the mainland in the town of Falmouth.
