Come Escape the Ordinary

Cherokee Adventures whitewater rafting is located in Northeast Tennessee. Our riverside base camp is located on 50 acres adjacent to the Cherokee National Forest, just outside of Erwin TN.

It’s a small rural town set in the Blue Ridge Mountains with hiking and biking nearby. Free rafting trips are available to full time employees on their days off. Our season runs March through October with peak activity during June, July, and August. Offices are open year-round.

Recreation

Cherokee Adventures Free trips are offered to full time employees. The Cherokee National Forest offers hiking and many other outdoor activities. Johnson City, only 20 minutes away, provides shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, and more.

Room and Board

Our 30-acre base camp is located on the river and in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. It features hot showers, riverside camping, inexpensive primitive bunkhouses, and our on site restaurant. A community cabin is provided for cooking, refrigeration, and limited storage. $25 for camping and $35 for the bunkhouse. If camping is not your style, the nearby city of Erwin or Johnson City offers other lodging options along with great family activities.

Benefits

Lunch is free for guides working full day trips. Food at the River’s Edge is discounted 10 and 20 percent on workdays. Free trips are available to full time employees on their days off. Cherokee Adventures

Transportation Info

Easy access to I-26 by car. Arrangements can be made for pick up from Tri-Cities airport (25 miles). Taxi and rental car companies are available in nearby Johnson City located just 15 miles from Cherokee Adventures.
