Camp Mondamin and Camp Green Cove are boys and girls summer camps for ages 6 - 17 located in the Mountains of Western North Carolina. We emphasize outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. We believe in fun, adventure, safety, and great instruction.

Our program is non-competitive, which encourages experimentation, and non-regimented, which fosters self-direction. Our strengths lie in the quality of our staff and the depth of our program.

We hire men and women, young and old, in search of meaningful summer jobs. Average pay, long hours, and more personal rewards than you can imagine.

What's in the job?

• Instruction responsibility: teaching kids in your activity or leading trips, and...
• Counseling responsibility: living and working with 5 or 6 kids directly, and...
• Participation and influence as a member of the camp community

We expect a great deal from our staff members, but also offer them a lot in terms of support, direction, and opportunity.

Recreation

Camps Mondamin and Green Cove own 800 acres and are near several wilderness areas for paddling, hiking, biking and climbing (Pisgah National Forest, Nantahala River Gorge, etc.). Nearby cities include Asheville, NC and Greenville SC. Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC are 2-3 hours drive.
