Summer Camp Jobs in Colorado's Beautiful Mountains


Camp Santa Maria provides an overnight camp experience created with a focus on youth development.


Campers will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including hiking, backpacking, climbing, horseback riding, rafting, kayaking, swimming, art, drama, and sports. Our goal is to provide campers with experiences that support their growth and help them develop relationship, leadership, and decision-making skills. alt text

At Camp Santa Maria we understand that a great camp experience starts with caring, competent and mature staff members. Our goal in hiring staff is to bring together a staff team committed to serving youth, made up of individuals who understand the importance of placing the needs of the campers before their own.

Dates of Operation

Outdoor Education: April 16 – May 23
Residential Camp: June 20 – August 12

Recreation

Staff will have the opportunity to hike, climb, kayak, and raft in some of Colorado's most beautiful natural environments. Staff swim in our on-site pool and lead sports activities.

Room and Board

Housing options: Shared Cabin

Room and board is provided for all seasonal staff. Cabin Counselors will live in cabins with the campers. Administrative and support staff will live in communal staff housing.

Benefits

At Camp Santa Maria all staff will participate in 8-10 days of professional training. In addition to learning about youth development, child psychology, and camp specific training, staff will be required to complete and will be certified in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. Staff will also have the opportunity to become lifeguard certified as part of staff training. It is our belief that these certifications that staff will take with them when they leave this job can be a benefit in future job searches.

Transportation Info

Transportation to camp must be arranged by camp staff. Transportation is available to and from the Denver International Airport. Transportation is also available on time off giving staff the ability to leave camp.
