Seasonal Ministry Opportunities

We at Camp on the Boulder are praying for strong Christians to build our Ministry Team to serve the guests in the coming season. If you are 18 or older, a high school graduate, love the mountains, and are excited about our mission statement (Celebrate God’s creation by providing an atmosphere for all to know Jesus Christ), we encourage you to explore the possibility of a summer at Camp on the Boulder.

The elevation is 6000 ft above sea level. The Camp has over 340 beds and serves as a Christian camp and conference center for a variety of groups throughout the summer season. The Camp is affiliated with the Yellowstone Conference of the United Methodist Church through faith. We also welcome Christians from other denominations to apply.

Ministry Team dates for summer 2008 are June 8 - August 11. This is the busy part of the camping season. A stipend and on-site housing are provided.

Available Ministry Team Positions:

• Cooks/Crewleaders - Prepare, serve, and clean-up meals for 30 to 300 guests of Camp.
• Camp Store and Craft Cabin - Serve guests at camp store and assist with craft activities as needed.
• Kitchen Crew - Assist cooks to serve and clean-up meals.
• Buildings and Grounds Maintenance- Maintain the day to day physical needs of the Camp and its guests.
• Housekeeping - Provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests

Recreation

Excellent hiking opportunities, sand volleyball, basketball, wonderful fishing, exploring the Boulder River valley, wildlife is spectacular. We also have Frisbee disc golf, miniature golf, horseshoes and craft cabin.

Room and Board

We provide all room and board, laundry facilities and team shirts (2).

Benefits

The ministry team enjoys great camp sponsored outings, rafting, waterslide, tubing, exploring Yellowstone, and more. We also enjoy team lead daily devotions and Sunday night worship services.

Transportation Info

Camp on the Boulder is located high in the Boulder River Valley, approximately 39 miles south of Big Timber, Montana. If you travel by bus or plane we can arrange to pick you up. You are welcome to drive if you own a car.
